do i need to go out and spend a ££££ on a gun for this or will i get away with a few hundred £ gun i no you only get what you pay for but this will be my first driven shoot and i only own a 410 and need to up grade to a 12 bore

 

all advice will be greatful

12 or 20 bore 32 gram cartridges. As for the price a £50 gun will shoot as good as a £50,000 gun

Go for a gun that you feel comfortable with and fits you well. The right gun is the one you pick up and just feel "yeah, I could really shoot with this!" Confidence in your kit is everything.... and some skill obviously!

 

For me its a 12 bore Browning grade 3 which looked pretty new in the shop as it had recently been refitted and serviceed but after buying it I Iooked up the serial number and found out was made in 1985 which meant it was over 20 years old! Love it though and still looks pretty new. Cost was about £950.

 

For cartridges, personally I love 32g 6s in Eley VIP - awesome! About £70 for 250.
