Have you come to the safety of here after the bashing you took on IFF? lol Ooooh I smelt it coming!!!!   Nice to see your first post is a little more realistic on here Sorry I dont live nearer or i

clifford dont take any notice of people giving you shit, some people think they know everything but its just their prospective on the subject, some people will surf the IFF then come over to this foru

HI kat i agree with you i am on iff and i dont coment on that site as there nothing but a bunch ov bullys that pick on newbys and they have alot ov poeple wanting answers to honest quistions and there

mate get your hunting ground sorted first, then get your equipment sorted and freezer and stuff, get to the library get as many books as possible dvds anything you can get your hands on ,theres a few lads ive dealt with over the years in your area ask about some one will take you out ,as for the iff theres some really good people on there, but its not a good place to go if your a newbie its like the bbs they have there own click, like most forums it has its computer warriors that like to think they know everything but in truthe the ones that make there mouths go no very little trust me ive caught a good few out

there is lots of factors including .weather ,how hard u fly the bird ,how health the bird is in ect ect .normal food giving the hawks in flying/hunting condition is d.o.c's and rabbits ,some use supplients.and i dont mind giving a bit of partrage, quail ect if the bird is having a day of.in the moult ur giving mainly lots of high quality foods like the latter i mentioned.

a long wing u can give them and better of giving them high quality foods as these are like a farrari compared to a harris that is more like a mini ,you can crop up a faclon and if you watch it you can almost see it going down as they can take on the food alot quicker and also there need it as they work so hard thus using up there fuel tank.there is no point falconing a falcon on 3/4 fuel tank as you will see the result in it performance

if you had a f1 car you would not go to the local morrisons car park for fuel would you ?

got some books i did go to the library there is two by me but none of them have bird of prey books they all gone walkies so they not getting any more in got some books off line coming next week i have spent to much on books now

if your compaining on the amount you have spend on a few books then falconry is not a sport for you,you got the cost of all the equipment to but,the ,a quality muse to build ,upkeep.vet bills that can and are expencive in raptors (nothing like what u pay for a cat or dog) .aslo who going to look after it if and when u want a holiday ect

this is not a cheap sport if you compaining about spending a few pounds on books .

I know their diet depends on a number of factors including like the weight of the bird. The weather. How much flying has been done lately. The condition of the bird. The temperament of the bird.

feel its brestbone  then you will know in conjunction with its weight how much to feed it, then again the amount will depend on whot your feeding, how much exercise the birds getting etc.

Read a Hawk For The Bush by Jack Mavrogordato.. and read it well and keep reading it till it sink's in..the book i have here fell into my hand's when i was in junior school and only young..which will of been in the 80's ..back then i only liked picture's but as the year's progressed i started reading it more and more..i now have info in my head that wont go away and it is for the better hawk wise.. i did read other book's but not many matched the old one and any info that has sunk in is only furniture picture's.
