Seen it loads of times hounds going to ground if they want in they will get even seen them accounting for there fox in ground and also seen them dig him out in a peat bog before the lads came with the

Just read through all that . Must say stop end a foot beagle would surely get t ground in fox..

 

All-terrain on her put a picture up of one of his mates hound cross to ground on a fox and and that's bigger than a full beagle

6 years old this topic and it just shows that Stop End still hasn't a single clue on the hunting game.

All types of hound will go to ground if they want to and anyone who hasn't seen it hasn't followed hounds much. It doesn't have to be a big place to begin with if hounds have marked a distance from you. If the soil is soft enough the biggest fox hound could be several feet in by the time you get to them. I've seen it.

As for beagles going to ground ? There's been beagles (full beagles) certified in badger trials back in the day and that was in a 20' chute ,11" by 11". Says it all.

To put terrier blood into a hound will only increase the risk of hounds going to ground.
