Beaters £35 for Grouse , pheasant, partridge

Pickers up get £50 a day

Beaters £40 pickers up £50 to be honest i enjoy it but wouldn't do it for any less a days work deserves a days pay IMO



Did you get back in or is it still just the chosen few ?

I,ve been getting £30 on one shoot and £25 on a smaller shoot but we all go to the pub afterwards for afew pints which is all paid for and food

£25, port and brandy
beer at lunch
brace of birds
few pints and food after in pub
beaters day including dinner and drinks ,pigeon shooting,duck shoot,fox drives
dinner and drinks on let day ..

it aint to bad, we get looked after, we had a lovely piece of roast beef one evening at the pub, we have some fun up there dont we mr,gazkeeper,he,he,.and hes taking us to the midland gamefair in the morning im excited.

We dont pay and have a waiting list. We only need about 6 beaters though and those who make an effort get a bit of shooting, vermin etc or if a gun dosnt turn up, most of our beaters are wanting a gun in the shoot and come to show how keen they are ( keenest often wears off once they get a gun tho :huh:

seems like 30 quid is the going rate then, plus grub n some game to take home.
Not a days pay in the true sense of the word but good perks for being out in the open air and taking part in country pursuits, albeit in a supporting role.

Sign me up! Anything in North Bucks area?

get £30 plus petrol money for beating £40 picking up and allowed to take lurchers on land

i doubt if our wages will go up, the boss is too fecking tight, had a good day with them boys at the midland yesterday, few beers and a bacon roll each, lovely day out.

Ah yes dd what was the score, and i think you lot had a bit more than a few beers,my pickup was like a karioke on the way home
great day i havnt laghed so much sober in ages
