LED LIGHTS

Recommended Posts

Well done you nice coat on that one , I for got to ask what sort of range do you get out of the a10 . I have just been on the phone to inovatech about the a10-g full bore lamping kit , is that the same as you are using? . I was talking to some one called Mark and he makes it sound very impresive indeed , I must say I am thinking about it . PS my laptop is sick so may take a day or two to answer .

It is the same one, and I find you can clearly identify a fox at about 250+ yards, and bright eye shine at probably 400 and more. I've found that some nights 200 yards is about the limit, and I put this is down to the fact that the pure white LED light is more easily affected by atmospheric conditions than the orangeish beam of the halogen lamps.

As I said before, it's not got the reach of some of the other lamps. but I find it more than adequate, and there's absolutely no noticeable difference in the rifles weight or balance when it's fitted, which I find perfect when out alone on foot. I should mention though that the tight beam isn't ideally suited for scanning fields (not that you would with any lamp attached to a rifle).

Well I have had a A 10-G on the rifle, what a bit of kit . I took it out for a shine not the best night a bit on the light side but I could not wait to have a go with it .

Strait from the box every thing feels better made than some of the other lights I looked at. I got it on the scope not to much trouble its a good firm fit easy to adjust up and down and holds firm and a neat finish once fixed.

For its size the light it throw is awesome, to start with I did not put the extension tube on to stop light spill catching the mod, I will have to take it next time to try. On stuble I could easly by eye, not through the scope clearly trees 300m away so with the scope its going to be plenty of distance to shoot . I could not test full distance as I was getting a glare back from the modderator . I know what you mean with the pressure swich I might do the same as you have done and change that, but I think the A10 will be staying with me top kit.

Glad to hear your happy with it, sounds just the job.

Anyone know how they compare to a catapult v3?

I did find one with the v3 on it's own but not compared to others it was one with 3 man size targets at 100,200&300 yrds, it lit them up but I can't shoot clearly to 300 yrds with it I know.

If you do find it I'd like to see the comparison though.
