Pure speculation on your part Nick.As you say no one other than the decision makers had anything to do with the process. What your IT specialist might be dumbfounded by could appear crystal clear to others that are full conversant with the decision and the specification.

Clutching at straws is never a good way to proceed.

If you think that some potential sponsors or the shooting media are going to bother turning over the pages of publish accounts or directors minutes of NOB's in the hope of finding some anomaly for you. Your going to be very disappointed.

No ones that interested. It was a good idea but its failed to achieve its worthy intentions for what ever reason. So what? The world is full of failed worthy intentions. The only difference is this one has a particular monkey on its back.

Funny how I get messages asking what I know about you Greek Phil seems you are getting a reputation as a troll on other forums. "Just because its free" etc, well doesnt matter if it works or not does

Shouldn't that read too great.   So much for public school education.........   As I am a night shift with little to do except wait for a disaster I have read this thread and cannot believe that y

ffs how did all this shite stem from the origional post? the poor lad only asked for a bit of beating

Accounts are not published but are available at Companies House for a fee - or from getitorfyerchest forum - which has regular visits from media such as IPC according to the tracking data.

Directors minutes have never been published

NOBS has failed according to your assessment - I am therefore much saddened at the frittering away of a potential valuable resource for the shooting community and one to which many have devoted a lot of time and their own money in supporting.

Saddened also that many of the original and very experienced people who supported it were alienated by the management, those people being the very ones who should have been encouraged to ensure its success through their contacts and public awareness.

I never said the NOB's had failed. That was your assessment of the situation. What I said was.

"I'm sure NOB's will survive one way or another. A bit of reorganisation, and restructuring, and some corporate sponsorship perhaps. Who knows.

Que Sera Sera ..."

We can only take your word for the number, frequency and individuality of visitor to your obsessive web site. What potential valuable resource has been frittered away. People choose to give of their time and cash. As with all things making that choice is still a gamble. If the revenue has been used to purchase the businesses ITC systems that was deemed necessary by the businesses management. What uninformed individual has the competency to cast aspersions based upon hearsay and guess work?

At the end of the day how a business is managed is entirely the decision of the directors and management. That others give up their time to assist that process gives them no rights or considerations. That's their choice. That they might choose to do so for altrustic or non-altruistic reasons is hardly pertinent or of interest to anyone but them and obviously you.

Your "slowly slowly catchee monkey" plan doesn't seem to be working very well does it.

That's intelligence for you...........

There's nothing like using a well rounded ubiquitous expletive to add emphasis to a comment .........................

Im sorry, i bow down to your superior intelligence. Carry on with your pathetic squabbling as it quite clearly shows off how great you are. What great advertisement this thread is for both 'organisations'... even if i was desperate for beaters i wouldnt bother with either!

Apology accepted.

I have no great desire to advertse for either set up. I never been a fee paying card carrying member of one and have never felt inclined to bother with the other.

to the best of my knowledge this is the first time we have ever discussed anything on any fora. So why you should think that I have the inclination to follow your promotion perambulations around the various shooting web forms is rather perplexing. If discussing your petulant obsession in regards this matter is seen as positive promotion by some including yourself. Thats hardly high on the list of winner IMO

Unlike you my new season has already started, or to more precise, another aspect of my all year round season has started. I don't have to look to try and find some obsession to try and fill in the spare time. I don't have any spare time.

That old adage of just becos its free doesn't make it worthwhile doing hold true in so many ways.

Define "and it works"..? Works for how many .....1?....2? ;)

"Just because its free" etc, well doesnt matter if it works or not does it - people dont pay and if they get nothing then so what, if they do pay and get nothing then that is cause for concern surely?

It works - yes it does ask willow on shooting uk, how many testimonials do you want, just check on NOBS forum to see - oh sorry you cant unless you pay!!

I shall not reply to anymore of your idiotic ramblings being far too busy to try and reason with the demented

Haha! Just goes to show how unfulfilled, dull and petty some peoples lives are if they need to slink around the various fora ask questions about me. Unsubstantiated reputations or rumour, are pretty much the same thing in my book, and deserve that same amount of consideration. Besides we all have reputations of some sort don't we?.

If it doesn't work it doesn't matter if its free or not. It still doesn't work . There by making the whole exercise pointless. If people are willing to pay and have a gamble on a new innovation that's their concern. Not mine. Besides whats £5 these days. People gamble that and more on the lottery every day. Hardly worth starting an obsessive personal crusade over.

You claim that it works, great! NOB's says theirs works as well, great! I'm sure there are others that will say differently. in regards to both. So who's right?

I shall not reply to anymore of your idiotic ramblings being far too busy to try and reason with the demented

There was I thinking you welcomed all of this free publicity..

"idiotic ramblings", "demented"...? Who's the one with an obsession to such an extent that they have a web site dedicated to it?

Not a bad point to close this discussion on I think.

Have a nice day.

I dont think either of you have helped the op at all. If you are intent on squabbling why not do it privately?

Hi

I certainly hope I have, and made a few more aware of the true lie of the land.

I have no self promotional objective behind any of my posts, nor any pedantic, fixated agendas.

      Hello

My name is Paul, i am 20 years old and i am from Grimsby in Lincolnshire.

I have recently had an interview for a Gamekeeping Apprenticeship at Bishop Burton college in Yorkshire and I have been offered a place so long as i can find employment but being in the north east Lincolnshire area Gamekeepers seem to be few and far between, i have contacted the major local estate (brocklesby estate which is owned by the Earl of Yarborough) and some smaller estates ran by farmers and the only replies i seem to be getting are "we aren't looking to employ anyone else" which is fair enough but also rather disappointing but hey, what can you do.

I am posting here to see if there are any people out there that may know someone that could take me on or actually take me on themselves in or around the Grimsby area?(30 mile radius)

      I have experience in:

      - organised shoots as I was a beater at my local shoot (no gamekeeper, it is ran by volunteers)

      - pest control as I often shoot pigeons and rabbits for the local farmer.

      - Handling rifles and shotguns

I can drive so transport is no problem. I am looking to work within a 25-30 mile radius of Grimsby.

The employer has a possibility of gaining a £1500 grant if they take me on which is provided by the college (the government have the final say however as it goes through them + Terms and conditions apply)

I am willing to do trial runs

I can do voluntary work to gain experience.

If there is anyone out there that will be able to help me it would be more than appreciated.

If anyone has any offers or information then please contact me via my email - Pldiplock@gmail.com

Silky and I have moved from Wiltshire to Woodbridge Suffolk and are now getting itchy feet.

She is now ten and so not quite as fast as her master (who is only 70).

Before we left, I created a book (using Blurb.co.uk and snaps by shoot members) of the shoot for members and the regulars in the Calley Arms (between Marlborough and Swindon) where the country brigade can be found (especially on a Friday evening).

If you have a place, Please let me know.

      Hi All

We are now entering our third season in NI and we are always on the look out for reliable guys and girls to assist us with the dogging-in duties at the shoot.

Does anyone else have any tips on how to build a reliable and consistent team to help with the beating line and dogging-in?

Likewise any one who would be interested in speaking to us about some dog work should pm me or contact us via email.

      Thanks

      BWS

Payment is in kind in form of beaters day, good camaraderie and lunch on shoot days

      Hi there,

I am in the process of applying for my shotgun and firearms certificates and have a few air rifles but have been around the sport and lifestyle my entire life, and I'm keen to get involved further, so I'm offering my services for free help with beating, gamekeeping, pest control etc.

I don't have much experience at the moment but I pick things up quickly and enjoy learning about all aspects of the outdoors lifestyle. I'm a 24 year old economics student with a lot of free time, both weekdays and weekends and I live in Morpeth, Northumberland so if there's anyone relatively near requiring any help, get in touch here and I'd be happy to lend a hand, I'm not scared of a days hard work and I don't mind getting my hands dirty either

      Cheers,

      John.

As we are all to aware the season is almost here, and in some places has already started.

Due to the shoot I worked on closing down at the end of last year, I am looking for a new shoot to work.

I have been beating and picking up for the last 3 years and have an English Springer and a Cocker Spaniel who both work well.

Ideally I would like to find a small friendly shoot in the East Sussex area who shoot at the weekends.

If anybody can help I would be very grateful for a PM.
