I think this is why theres deviders in the center of breeding cages. Ive heard the cock will still feed the hen through the cage devider. Any photos please? ATB with your Muleing buddy. The above advice is sound advice because the cock goldy may throw the chicks out of the nest in an effort to drive the Hen to nest again, leaving him in view of her will keep him keen for the next round because Goldfinches are usually in peak breeding condition about now, they come into condition later than other natives and fill eggs up to mid august when others are starting to moult.This time in the breeding season is the best for muling and hybrids...
