Over the month of January we made the trip from WA to NSW/QLD for a holiday. Coincided pig hunting, touristy stuff and the country music festival. Stayed with some mates in NSW on the river in a small town and had an absolute ball! We didn't take my dogs as we didn't know how much they would hinder us on the 'touristy' part of the holiday- I now know they definately should have come with us!

Boxed quite a few pigs over the week nothing huge but plenty of fun. Biggest few were about 65kg dressed (gutted). Dogged alot, shot a few and trapped a heap. Numbers were the game as they get sold for human/pet consumption. There were hares all over this blokes front paddock and he couldn't understand using roodogs/stags to chase them?? In fact over the whole trip no-one did, had a look at a property over there and the neighbours couldn't get rid of them they were in plague proportions almost!!

Currently organising another trip with the dogs this time!!

few piglets in trap- they're about 20kg pigs

took one of the young ones for eating, couldnt' box them as they would have been underweight.(min 20kg dressed) the back of the ute has a few bigger pigs on it but ended up with a heap more over the night. Had 2 dogs to catchthem.

Hopefully the younger ones are getting fatter as we speak ready for next time!
