Cheap 1.3 4x4 ideas

Recommended Posts

I'm 19 and the cost for a 1.3 hardtop jimny is £5130 cheapest, but hey insuring a corsa is nearly as expensive to insure now so might aswell just save up a couple of hundred pounds more and pay for a 4x4.

It's all a bloody joke but you have to pay for it nowadays if your young!

Joe

Its not just young lads 480 to insure fiesta van fully comp last year, asked for a quote on a ford connect t200 nearly same size engine 1080 iam 46 never had a crash have a clean licence what the fxcks all that about then.

i know they look a bit of a window licker bus , but what about a kangoo trekka 1.5 van or car , sliding side door , back seats , plenty of space in boot for dogs , some have massive sunroof to shoot out of.

group 4 or 5 insurance

30 - 100 quid a year to tax

45 mpg for the 4x4 or 65mpg for non 4x4

ok not a proper 4x4 but maybe ok for light duties.

im considering one myself to try as a next lamping motor.

and who the f**k is gonna pull you over in that at night , just get out with a limp and they will send you on your way lol

When are insurance companies gonna get real!

I had quotes for my m/bike ranging from £60 - £1500 using an 'online service'

Its a total joke especially for young drivers I feel so sorry for em.

Trouble is insurance companies know you cant legally drive without it so fcuk you over !!

All a bunch of robbing b*****ds!!!!

Propshafts go regularly (£800 or there abouts), rear main oil seals go, fuel pump will pack up, imobilisers often go wrong...and other general renault stuff ;)

I have a Suzuki samurai 1.3, i am 26yrs old and insurance on this was a joke. I then phoned a company called Sureterm direct who gave me a specialist 4x4 limited 6000 miles per year policy for £280, the next cheapest quote was over £800. I'd recommend giving them a try as this is the second vehicle I've had insured with them and they are always well under half the price of the cheapest quote. An older defender may also work out cheaper than you think.

Good luck in your search,

Paul.

Try Sure Term, over at Huntingdon, the wife got a quote from them, as a second car, third party for £202 (car value £750), when it came to paying for the insurance they upgraded her to fully comp at the same price, they are 4x4 insurance specialists! They do not touch ordinary cars, just 4x4s!
