hunter1989 91 Posted March 18, 2011 Report Share Posted March 18, 2011 The .177 has a higher velocity, so is used for hunting more varieties of game, such as pigeons as well as rabbits, believe me a skilled shot can drop a bunny with a .177! The advances in pellet technology has meant that .177s are able to be used for rabbit hunting as well as bird shooting. .177s are also more useful on a target shoot, as the smaller pellet size improves your scoring! there no different in taking quarry with a .177 or .22 the only different is that the .22 has more stopping power but the .177 has a flatter trajectory,but both can be used for all uk sub12 quarry Quote Link to post
