got a new pair on sunday, my others lasted me 12 mths of real hard walking and work... the last pair were 50 quiders.

 

This time i went for the "tay sport" 85 quid....

 

it was bewteen them and the "spay" but these felt heavier on, and a little stiffer....

 

how you compare the tay sport to the speys mate? dont use wellies much these days but since my speys are dead after 3 years im looking into a new pair...thanks.

 

 

Well to tell you the truth mate, there wasnt to much difference... Just thought the spey would be a little more slippy on smooth ground. They did feel a little harder, and there didnt seem as much give in the spey, plus, a little heavier..

 

so would you have taysport next time...or spey? thanks.

pair of slippers will do you for the amount you dig pecker

Im on my 3rd pair of muckboots.

Had the Derwent first. Soles wore smooth within a twelvemonth. Bloody dangerous on concrete.

Had the Tay next. They lasted 2 years before the soles got slippery in the milking parlour. Passed them onto someone else who doesnt milk. He thinks they're the dogs bollocks.

Have now got the Esk. I think these are better than the Tay but have only had them for 9 months so it might be a bit early to say too much.

cant all be ledgends with awesome terriers and be out as much as you see nugg your just the best. p.s i didnt use them for digging.

I am thinking of getting a pair myself but because there is a wide choice i cant decide which ones i want warmth and a sole that does not hold loads of mud so you dont have clown s feet any advice would be greatly appreciated as i cant make up my mind thanks in advance.

yes they are, but they dont have the muck boot sole,, they are quite thin, and slip along the sides and on top... still last you a good season tho..

what about the grub stalker ?

very comfy but blisterd my ankle on the first night, after that thay were great BUT, didnt last more than 6months on me tho, to much walkin, grips way to soft on the avons and now as smooth as a babys bottom and slip on my arse on the smallest mud pile, at £72 i expected alot better

I'm getting a pair of these soon as they are meant to be better than the muck boot, one of the big things is they have the vibram sole as used on walking boots like the mouflon plus and miendl stuff.

good boots/wellies to have, very comfortable, great in winter (keep ur feet warm).........had mine for around 5 years now and they still going strong got tread on em like a grizzly claw!!, only downfall with them i would say is they do make ur feet sweat like f**k, and they are a f****r to get off ur feet
