looking into getting a goshawk

Althought i wouldnt tell anyone to get a Gos as a first bird without an experienced Falconer to help, neither would i suggest a Harris.I started with, like many my age and older a Kestrel, and again i wouldnt suggest one of these as P/R Kestrels weights can be tricky to manage.A Redtail or Common Buzzard would be my choice as they will both teach you respect for a BOP (and thier feet!),they will teach you good weight management and husbandry.Harrises are too easy IMO :victory:

Jasper that bow is a corker lol,i had one for my female Buzzard you could have limbo'd underneath :toast: it was mate from blue water pipe steel spikes and a rope top.If i posted it on the IFF id be court marshalled

I have a oriental background so be carefull with the yellow or i will report you to admin.

I fly my bird regular he is a male and weighs 2lb 9oz when he looses his fat ive killed 260 head with him in one season most of them where cock pheasants out of release pens but they still count because he had a good 2000 yrd chase on them. i say 2000 yrds but thats what he does best when he hunts from the trees. i get tired running after him at times but it worth while in the end.and it keeps me fit and im a dab hand with the telemetry now.bit expensive on the bateries but they you go. i might be tempted in a imprint or waking one soon just to try something different..i hear you breed birds jasper.if i decide to get a imprint can you weigh it every day for me till i collect it or if i try the waking method can you loan me a bird and i will return it after a season of flying it.and honestly i wont feck it up.i will retun it back to you at fat weight so the screaming will have stopped and it will look well muscled up..

must go for now as im going to sit in my aviary with my bird while he as fat as butter.hopefully he will stop bouncing of the roof and walls soon in my presance especially when the thyroid and clover honey start working.i forgot to mention that buffalo thyroid works a treat he dropped 69 feathers in 3 days last season so im hoping he will double that in this years moult.

thanks for your reply to my post ive been on here a bit but i dont post much because i see loads of bitching and people wanting to fight each other.on the numty give me his number thats the best pic i seen for a while.

Now if you promise to be good and come back on the forum I will loan you a nice Finnish x German Female in the aviary that some tit asked me to Imprint and let me down on it, Its been dish and carcass fed as they do and tame as a robin.

Its funny as I even had somone seriously ask if they could take it and fly it and give it to me back at the end of the season, I've hardly spoke to the bloke so what planet does he think I come from....

Ring me when you get 5 mins you quail shagger  ......

Thats the one Graham. mine was made up of old black pipe and bound rope! I never had a problem with it with all the years I had it. I look at some of the designs these days and think they look far more Dangerouse than any of these old one's, lets face the first falconers just stuck a Bow in the ground and there they stood....
