lampinglurcher 36 Posted November 26, 2006 Report Share Posted November 26, 2006 does anyone on here stalk(mainly deer) and use their dogs for trailing shot deer? im training my pup to the gun, to accompany me on shoots and just general rough shooting, but hopefully will do abit of stalking with her aswell. im not really interested in the shooting part as i can do that practically anytime, but any advise on training a dog to trail would be appreciated - as ive already said, my main discipline is picking up, but my previous dogs have all seemed keen enough to stalk, but i would like to train this one properly. any advise/tips would be much appreciated cheers, matt Quote Link to post
