Can a dog be too old to train

it would depend on the dog its breading is it showing any potencial is it keen and can you bring it on but i wouldnt say its to old at 2might be a bit harder to get it into your way of thinking

I don't believe that a dog is too old to train certain things, but what do you want to train??

As long as it listens to you and is keen- not too old, some blokes on here don't start 'em til over 12 months anyway. I've gotten ex housepets that had never been in the bush in their life and started them ok. Its up to how keen they are and how well they listen to you.

As long as the dog bonds with you and you become the most important thing in its life, you can train it to do anything at any age.

The oldest dog i 'aquired' was 11yrs and she would do anything i asked.
