electric collar ???????

Recommended Posts

hi everyone just a quick question i have a 16 month old golden lab he is certainly not the best behaved dog in the world but whos are ?? he is great when i am out on my own with him and the gun if a bit to keen. the problems start when another dog is brought into the equasion went out with a friend yesterday he has a two year old springer and my lab would not leave him alone gets very frustrating after about 2 hours!!!! My mate has one of those canicom eletric collars on his springer and it seemed to work brilliant doesnt even have to shock the dog any more just a push on the tone button and the dog knows its time to behave and work. Does anyone have success stories with the collars or any other tips to help bring my dog into line thanks GUY :hmm:

Hello im sorry but my opinion of electric coller's is that they are a no no.I know dog's can be hard but it's all in the basic training & it is basic.I would like to see the dog work with the coller off? & a coller on a working dog can be dangerous when working as it can get snaged on object's or in amongest water side with tree root's etc can you see fit i mean. When you say you lab like's other dog's fit is he doing exactly?.

right time right place perfect!!!

iv had one for two years but then again ive only used it twice, would i be with out it no!!! for stock breacking a trouble some dog invaluable, same as the problem you had the other day,one smack as hes going up to the dog would be perfect!!!,you probably wouldnt have to use it again!!!
