skredmeister 0
Hi everyone, I am thinking of putting together a clay pigeon shooting arena for the general public and for the more experienced shooters up here in the highlands. I have pretty much nailed everything I need to relating to laws, certificates, insurance etc BUT, relating to the actual equipment, more specifically the shotguns, I haven't decided what suits best. I want to know peoples personal opinion on the matter. I budget approx £2500-3000 for initial gun set-up, which can be added to later depending on success, that is to cover the main bases. For example, do you cater towards left handed people or not? (due to them being what 1 person in 10?) Get a variety of different makes? Buy all 12 bores or throw in a 20 o/u or even a 4/10? Or can the weaker recoil cartridges available render the alternatives unnecessary? Consider 2nd hands? Personally, I am thinking maybe 3 beretta o/u 12 bores at a minimum spend of £600 and possibly a single 20 bore ay £700. But let me know from your point of view, even as a customer, what you think. Thanks all Quote Link to post
