Can i just add in to the post...I'm hopefully going to collect my 22-250 tomorrow (if the postie arrives with my variation) and this has been a wonderfully informative posting!!! I'm really looking forward now to get my rifle and reloading gear into full swing!!

ps. its a remy 700 with a SYSS Mod. and a boyds lam. thumhole stock.

what a cracking read mate well done all round for the info and the insite of this topic. pitty you wasnt closer to me ive got a 22.250 tikka t3 light stainless with t8 mod am having to use factory loads in mine as dont have loading gear and wouldnt know where to start atb willum :thumbs:

dicehorn knows his stuff thats for sure. he has helpped me out on a couple of things with reloading.

 

true what he says alot of factory rifles shoot better with a jump. mine is 1.950 to the ogive. ive tryed it closer to the lands and the groups just open up.

It definately helps to reload your own ammunition as you can see my groupings have vastly improved ,I did try factory stuff but was unimpressed to say the least and it cost a fortune also the problem with factory stuff is getting a regular supply of the stuff that groups reasonably well in your rifle,Reloading is definately the way ahead especialy if you have the help and invaluable advice of someone as experienced as Peter.
