Had a quick outing with the fly and spinner on a small river.....nothing big but great sport all the same, just cant beat wading down the river on a spring afternoon

The spinners i always use are Blue Fox Vibrax the smallest ones There a good weight Hard to get hold of, need to find a supplier desperatly!!

Got my last ones from france and tis a long way to go for a poxy spinner.

Was there a big hatch of 'vibrax' spinner's today??...Were they coming quickly off the water,or just a localised hatch that you happened to hit into

 

Don't pay that Injun' any mind reload. Just so long as you fished them there vibraxes upstream AND dry, you weren't doing no wrong........... :whistle:

It dont matter howmuch Hi-fly spray i put on them they keep sinking tho :whistle:

Good pics Reload, you’re tempting me to dust off my fishing rod & get me waders out not that I’m any good with spinners I always lose them

these are the ones reload well worth a try easily cast on a fly rod and deadly for rainbows and browns ,they are banned on a lot of still waters ,they can be fished just like a fly :whistle: not atrracting attention you can buy them in this country number one in gold tis the boy FLICKER SPINNERS

Always worth trying something new

 

The most important thing for me is useing a spinner of a decent weight and becoming used to it for flicking under brambles etc etc. I use spinners for those places too hard to get with the fly I think that why i have become stuck with the blue fox. I very rarely lose many of these as i am so used to them and the normark spinning rod. I suppose its like anything really, you get used to your gear.
