novice 25
Does anyone think that it makes a difference what material a larsen is made out of? The reason I ask is because I have one made totally out of weldmesh and I can never catch my first call bird. I've tried eggs, rabbit, chicken carcasses both in the garden and out in the fields. My mates have larsens made out of wood and they don't seem to have any problem catching without a decoy. I was thinking that the maggies may be reluctant to land on the mesh. Does anyone have any views or am I doing something wrong? Quote Link to post

Smudge 0
We use a wooden frame and chicken wire around the outsides. Never had a problem. Smudge Quote Link to post
