Great Post!

Fair play to the bloke i say - as for the Jays comment - words fail me

Not at all, they eat mainly nuts, acorns and insects. They will take nestlings and small mammals but nothing like a pair of maggies!!

Leave em alone i say, being a keper isn't about killing everything just because they did in the old days where if it had a hookbeak talons or sharp teeth it died!

Jays do very little damage compared to other corvids.

:)

Well, i don't want to sound pedantic but i disagree. What do you think that Jays feed their young on from say, May to the end of june?

It sure aint acorns! Or "nuts"!!! :clapper:

And the little green caterpillars that their young eat once fledged will not really be out until July.....

The main time corvids do their worst damage in when the smaller birds are nesting, believe me, Jays are just as bad as magpies and crows in and around the woodlands. ;)

Superb looking work :notworthy: You should make a few sales on here. Shame you don't do foxes, we all have favourites we would have loved to have had mask mounted for a host of different reasons. I would love a barn owl with wings open, roughly what would that cost?
