hy just wondering which is the best ammo for fac air rifles (rappid 7) 40lb cheers

Bisley magnums are about the only commercial pellet, that will withstand 40 ft/lbs.

What I would do is have alook on the Blackpool air guns website. They have information on pellets, you want a heavier grain pellet than standard to make the most of your gun. (size matters!)

 

I have found that the standard dome shaped pellets are the best for consistancy, yes the pointed ones do have more penetration but they are not consistant over longer ranges.

 

Its a little bit of trial and error to find the best pellet for you and your gun, I like AA field but they would be to light for you.

 

Looking on the website will give you a good start.

 

 

Would be a good idea to give us an update on how the pellets you choose and your gun perform.

Air arms will go to 42FTLB But all depends on the barrel make as all differ

i found that magnums had poor grouping myself, spoke to a few people at the midlands fair, and settled on logun penatrators heavy weight, seem much better, but £9 for 350
