You shouldn't need a rod to assemble the silencer. The baffles should be a tight fit against the inside of the tube thus eliminating any chance of them being thrown into the line of fire.

That other silencer looks too high tec for me, probably expensive too being ceramic. Also with It being ceramic It wouldn't last me long. In my line of work I deal with ceramic alot and the amount of times I've smashed or cracked It Is unreal

Have you tried the silencer again after singeing all the strands off? Any luck with better accuracy?

Richard,

Have you changed pellets lately?

And another obviouse one really, is your barrel clean?

I ask because if its chucking pellets all over without the silencer there is something deffinately wrong with the rifle or scope. You've not banged the scope have you?

i have had a change of pellets from accupels to napier target pellets and i have gotten through half a tin before this started happening. now without the silencer and adaptor i am gettind 5p groups but with the silencer and adaptor its throwing pellets up to a foot of target and i recently had the barrel and scope alinged because the barrel was loose and its now tight.

Ok

Strip the silencer and clean the washers. Use a paint pen or a red or blue marker pen and "paint " the inside of the drilled holes of the moderator. Put the thing back together and fire a few shots through it. Now you can strip it again ad if they are clipping the washer and I think they are the paint will be gone in those spots. Use a little round file do enlarge the holes a bit where the paint is AWOL and start the whole process again. Its a bit of a PITA but piles are worse.

Get ya down to B&Q and buy a handfull of washers the same size , with larger diameter holes in the center . Swap them over for the ones in the mod and see what happens . To be honest if you tried without the mod on and it was ok , then there`s only one answer isn`t there .
