advice when feeding meat

Well I know for me, it was simple, Im glad that I didnt scruff my dog, for me, note FOR ME, it wasnt needed, more than one way to skin a cat ! still splitting my girls food, and adding to what she already has...in her mind when we approach he it's not a negative ie to take food away, she now see's it as yum my pals are bringing me more food, I dont want to be able to take the food out a my dogs mouth, but I dont ever want to see aggression from her where me my wife or children are concerned, stick with the none violent route, it'll work, it has for us !

Question on the above post: Does anyone think it is important to be able to remove things (including food)from their dogs mouth? Me, myself, I like to be able to do this incase my dogs pick up things that may not be safe, for example out walking a dog can pick up sticks, golf balls, KFC bones thrown about by dirty bolloxes who wouldn't think to use a bin, dirty scraps of unkown origin and dead animals etc. I use a strong 'leave it!' command if he has not already picked it up, sometimes with a quick flick round the ass with the lead, if necessary, or 'thank you!' command as i remove it from the mouth if they have picked something up, often while holding by the scruff. I always praise the dog when he does as commanded.
