Hi there Roberto,

I have owned a .22 calibre Air Arms ProSport in Walnut for about 2 months now friend and I find it to be a very accurate, smooth and one of the top of the range pieces of hunting equipment.

In mine I use FX 16 grain pellets which if I remember rightly pushes out at around 11.8 FP and is pretty accurate to say the least.

I have managed to get some good results with mine on small targets at pretty decent ranges.

The rifle doesn’t have that much recoil due to its weight and great internals and will if matched with the right pellet produces some good results on vermin at modest ranges.

I have used and owned some other brands of spring air rifles in my time as a hunter, some being:

Weihrauch HW95K – Sandwell Field Sports (SFS) tuned

Weihrauch HW97K – SFS tuned

Weihrauch HW97K

Weihrauch HW35

SFS Spectre carbine – SFS tuned

BSA Lightning

Relum Tornado

BSA Air Sporter

Various Chinese designed rifles,

And what I can say, (and not to upset anyone else as this is my personal opinion) is that the ProSport is better than the SFS tuned HW95K, Spectre carbine and Weihrauch HW97K.

It is almost as good and very very close to my old SFS tuned Weihrauch HW97K which was the best spring rifle I have ever used.

You really need to shoot one to appreciate it.

So if you are looking and interested in the ProSport mate I don’t think that you will go far wrong with it as long as you concentrate on your technique and learn its trajectory etc.

Best wishes what ever rifle you get

Si

I have a HW77K, a little old and a bit on the heavy side in comparision to some others mentioned but very nice riffle and easy to shoot!

As mentioned the weight actually helps with the recoil and holding zero. Best thing is to try and many as you're able to a decide whats best for you!

Keep us informed.
