Farney Harriers 2nd Annual Dog Show, Race day, and Family day out will take place this year : On Sunday 14th July in Dundalk Co. Louth . The venue will be at the same place as last year at Junction 18 just of the M1 motorway. There will be the usual classes for Terriers, Lurchers, Whippets, Hounds, Gundogs and Pets. As it is a family day out, there will be a Bouncy Castle , Pony Rides and Face painting if weather permits. There will be some trade stands and hot food served all day. Showing starts at 12.30 and Racing to follow. Strictly, All dogs must be muzzled. No Muzzle,No Race.

Thinking of having a long weekend over in the summer, what would be the best show to have a look at, not fussed on all these trade stands and and bouncy castles its the same where ever you go. Just wanting to go and see a real good quality dog show that i can take my mut over and clear up! haha Thanks Rob

All the usual classes and Racing will be on the menu. Usual Venue,the field on the Banbridge/Gilford Road. Only 3 more sleeps to Dessies Mackens Show this Saturday 6th April. Dessie has told me to let you know if he gets enough Greyhounds he will run a Race for them.. The show venue is between Gilford and Banbridge. All the usual classes for Lurchers, Terriers, Whippets, and Strong Dogs. This show will be run under NILRC rules, and will be a qualifer for the 5 Nations at Birr Castle 2013, and a qualifier for the Master Mc Grath at Shanes Castle 2013. is this show worth a look does it have a lot of dog stall and other stalls i know its not a game fair do they do coursing or is it just the stright racing if some one can let me know from experence as im travling 10 hours up and 10 hours back cheers -

Hi Sinead, What type of 'Crossbreed' is your dog ? This show will have classes for Whippets, Terriers, Lurchers and Strong dogs (Staffies, wheaten terriers etc). It really depends on whet type of cross your dog is as to whether there will be classes it can be entered into? -

I have been requested by Dessie Macken to advise, that his Show and Race day, due to take place on Saturday 23rd February 13 has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions . The Show venue was inspected today, and it was decided in everybodys interest, the ground was too wet for this event to take place on. Apologies for this.
