  1. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Not sure why some of you can't view the video. It showed the old buck, he looked injured, trying to get away but the younger buck kept following him, and at every opportunity, he rammed the older buck hard. I'd always thought the fight stops once one of them break away and try to leave.
  2. Hi all, hope it is ok to share a video I recently watched. I'm curious about this buck's behavior. I know the males fight during the rutting season, but this young buck was pursuing the older male which was wounded and trying to get away. I thought the fight stops when one runs off. Anyone know if this is normal behavior?? Or have seen something similar to this? Thanks http://huntervids.com/videos/mule-deer-takes-out-older-buck-fight-2015/
  3. Hi! These are similar to blueberries, but the skin (outer layer) is not so thick. These wild huckleberries are picked in the mountains during summer, like morel mushrooms in spring. Sells for about $50 USD per gallon. Very tasty berries, more fragrant than blueberries.
  4. Is anybody out picking huckleberries in the mountains? Would like to hear what you do with them. Thanks
  5. Hey everyone, Thanks for the answers, tips and guides I'll take some time to look around too.
  6. Hi everyone, I am a new member and posted some questions in my intro. It was suggested that I should post them in a new thread. So here they are - I have some questions since this is a big forum and I am just starting to check this out. A quick answer to each question might help me find some topics easier. Thanks in advance! Questions: 1. Is this forum all about hunting? Does anyone share fishing photos/tips/guide? I do both and almost everything outdoors - hunt/fish/hike 2. Is there a category on bowhunting? 3. Are there discussions about game meat processing - like making
  7. Thanks for the welcome greetings all! I'll post my questions on a new thread as suggested. Thank you
  8. Hi, my name is Selene. I am new to this forum. Not new to hunting, but I started late in adulthood. Still learning the ropes. Been lucky enough to have some friends (coworkers) and their understanding wives let me join in hunting during Fall. I started with rifle hunting, and this is predominantly what I use. I picked up a starter bow from Cabela's last Fall, and learning about it but would love to learn more. I have some questions since this is a big forum and I am just starting to check this out. A quick answer to each question might help me find some topics easier. Thanks in adva
