  1. had mine out at the weekend but started noticing a red hew on the screen after about 10 mins use.. anyone else seen this? there was a full moon so wondering if this was the cause as there was too much light..
  2. Talk about touchy.. So much for a friendly forum.. Charlie chill I don't live down here all the time we are all supposed to be friendly take a chill pill..
  3. The 4.6 x 42 is more than enuff to 100 yds with a clear pic .. Doubler and T20 are a must . I know a lad , who`s been using a Drone Pro for a while , cancel his order for the colour Drone Pro , cause he picked up an XT as a stop gap . just got a XT works great on the .22 will see what the new one is like later in the year for the .223.... impressed with the revised IR and its multi level intensity..have yet to add another IR lamp but under 75 yards can't see it needs it..
  4. If you are hunting vermin you might want to add expanding ammunition
  5. Again I disagree, it was more assisting him given he was quoting .270 or .308, most people will go for .243, throwing in .240 when there are limited calibers at that in the UK could merely confuse, hence .243.. as for embarrassing silences, not concerned about them.. I know that technically it is .240 but who uses it in the UK, it is a guide which most follow to go to .243 or .270? Why confuse the guy when .243 is the most used & widely recognised or higher.. Let's drop it we clearly have a different perspective on this.
  6. I'm sure you know that .243 is the minimum legal caliber for deer but so many other things to consider like the distances you re looking to shoot at given the vastly different trajectory of a .243 v .308. Added to that the type of quarry you are looking to shoot. But if wild boar is something you are looking to hunt then 30-06 sounds plausible but good luck getting a ticket for that! Actually .243 is not the legal minimum, on large deer, it is .240. technically correct but rather pedantic.. .243 is the normal calibre most would use IMHO

  8. I'm a FAC holder around Truro, looking for landowners & farmers who have fox issues (and rabbit). I'm a BASC member and other clearances and accreditations. If anyone knows anyone in the TR post code areas then I'd be happy to hear from you. thanks.
