  1. Yeah that will do, i use my Pike rods, 12-13ft 3LB test curveUse a trace for sea fishing too, you never know what your gonna get, Gar Fish follow Mackrell all the time (look very similar with a sword fish type snout/Ugly thing), both will snap normal line with there teeth so use a trace to save you losing your gear. sorry but i dont think theres any need for wire traces when fishing for makerel and garfish lol (if thats what you meant, if not i appolagise) ive caught ALOT of makerel (as most people that go sea fishing probably have) and plenty of gars and have never once been bitten off ???
  2. I have the cluelite , it's lasted me years, great hand held spotting torch bit it's a bit much to attach to the rifle, and you have the separate battery pack to carry round. To attach to the rifle how about the Cree , there great little torches, my old man swears by them, adjustable beem and about 1000 lumins , more than enough. They are very compact, light, easy to attach and cheap, much cheaper than Surefire etc
  3. I hope you supply protective equipment to your crabs, viz vest and boots are a must , if something was to fall on there claws they could get seriously injured or even worse... Are the candles Creosalt scented ?

  5. The Mrs old man still has one, he calls him Bear and it's the biggest i have seen, he really is a big EBT, too big to show, very soft but good god does he take some holding back when he see's anything with fir haha Have you ever seen the original EBT, it was breaded out by what we have today, if you type it into wiki have a look, cracking looking dog, longer in the leg and shorter in the snout
  6. I understand, and i am just talking off the cuff, its just an idea thats all , one i think would work if done right and i am sure i am not alone in saying Creo does clear them rabbit holes but it's a method used a long time ago that is maybe not so PC today It's not a question of being Politically Correct Not only is it ineffective, as a method, but it's also illegal. That is of course, presuming you can find somewhere prepared to sell it, and fork out £50 for a 5 gallon container..... well if it's Illegal i won't be doing it then, i always stay within the law, thanks fo
  7. Thanks Pal, good advise thanks a lot, yeah he's a great dog and i will get him a partner in time but your right, he still has a way to go yet before he is fully trained. Really like the look of the plumber terriers, i will have one without a doubt but im in no rush and it's one of the reasons i joined the forum to have a good read about them. Ive been watching the Seven valley ratters on youtube , brilliant little dogs, funny to watch

  9. Never give up Pal, thats the sign of a natural born loser, If i can help you in any way don't be afraid to ask, thats what forums like this are for.
  10. yeah it does work Jocky, i was told about the pine cone method in devon years ago and it worked very well, something about creo that rabbits do not like, but after a while i have known them to go back, its not a long term solution
  11. Yeah its still available, i think the law changed for selling it to the public about ten years ago but it's still available to builders, farmers, etc.
  12. Yes i think i will learn how to do this, it will come in handy in the long run, save a few quid too!
  13. good start but if you get the bug its worse than flu, that will end up a twelve before long haha, good luck my friend!
  14. Brattonsound, good as anything, others will tell you to go for something else more expensive maybe but if you look on the net in right places you can pick up a bargain. I will say one thing though, if your new to shooting get a big one, bigger the better, in time you will buy a lot of guns if you get gun disease like a lot of us did you will be glad of the space...
