  1. Hi and welcome mapletree. I can't answer your question but just wondered where in Brittany you are. I'm near Poullaouen, area 29.
  2. Mac, tell your son to be careful that he doesn't overdo the running with weights. Over time it can knacker his knees and back and is likely to lead to shin splints. He will do enough running with weight once he's in. Ask him to ask his coach about fartlek training. One of the best ways to increase stamina and endurance. All the best.
  3. What sort of problems have you be having with your dog? If it's chewing and the likes then I would look at getting a crate for her to go in and leave her in the house.
  4. Congrats to your son Mac. 7RHA is a good regiment and looked upon as equal by most Para Reg soldiers. P company and the maroon beret says it all.
  5. Ah, makes sense. Thought it was just for air rifle. Cheers.
  6. Looks good but daft question - why do you need to consider eye relief? Are you still going to shoulder the rifle with the iphone attached?
  7. We've been in France since last July and loving every second. I'm not sure what type of shooting I want to do, don't think it will be airguns as my speciality was HFT and that became too much physically for me, and anyway there doesn't seem to be any of that locally. Joining a 'chasse' might be a problem with my limited French, so it looks like target shooting with .22lr rifle, something I've done in the past, or pistol speed shooting, quite fancy that. Hope your move goes well and you enjoy your time here as much as we do. The club at Vire has rotating targets for speed-shooting. Take adva
  8. How are you settling in CharlesC? We are moving over to Brittany in 3 weeks time and I'm looking forward to getting settled and joining a local club.
  9. Moxy, I think you need to change your signature, that titles been taken by someone else!
  10. Is his reply based on the fact that they already know and exam the FAC holders so no issues with just adding their air rifles, whereas, non FAC holders will have to be registered/visited which will cause them a lot of extra work and paperwork.
  11. Just had a look at that link and it recommends PCP's for garden plinking and springers for hunting so I won't be taken too much notice of anything else they say. As for the original question, I use a Hills stirrup pump.
  12. Countryway were doing a deal on the panorama 4-12x40 Map 6 with AO and IR for £99.95 if you like the map 6 reticle. I use mill dot, but cheers for the heads up. They did have the 3-9x50 with half mil dot Panorama for £100 delivered last month but I think you are after at least 12x zoom from your above post.
