  1. You still miss the point... young female yes... spots no... caught in the desert with sight hounds yes.. You have no clue about the lion population or how we hunt them here in the desert... If Canada is your only experience with lions you have no clue what goes on in the desert or the lions in the desert.. tell me the dog men you know that run lions in the dirt in the desert..please when you know nothing keep your opinion to yourself it only makes you look stupid lol
  2. You miss the point Trapperdan... I can feel your ignorance all the way over here lol how many have you put in a tree and left for seed? I'm sure none so don't try to judge when it is obvious you have no experience
  3. Oh yeah during the season... I would of had some hounds with me but we didn't have time to follow them.. every day we had to keep moving, always busy, packing in the morning, unpacking at night, taking care of the animals and taking care of yourself.. and still trying to make 15 or more miles per day
  4. I thought I would put this up for you guys on the other side there. This is a video I put together of a Pack Trip we took across the Gila Wilderness and the Aldo Leopold Widerness
  5. you know I believe that 3 or 4 good stags that have been on a lot of coyotes could take a lone wolf like we have down here... not so sure about those northern timber wolfs .. I had a guy come down and hunt lions with me and he was from Iowa and had a couple of stags with him that were some of most impressivie I have ever seen.... I never got to see them on a coyote but if I was going to try some on wolf those would be the kind I would go get
  6. Thanks ... although I don't have any sight hounds anymore I run mainly trail hounds if you can get over here I have an extra mule to riden
  7. I've got some scent hounds.. just some crossed up hounds that are able to trail in the dirt... I hunt lions and catch a fat bear every now and then... http://youtu.be/6tFjsK-s7ko
  8. Crossed up sighthounds from around here... One of the yellow hounds has 1/8 pit bull ... we just crossed them up with some old breeding from around here best to best and what works.. always thought the App dog probably had some Catahoula in him from somewhere. Was not the fastest but wasn't too far behind.. The green eyed hound wasn't much for the fight but would catch one in rough country and not hurt himself..
  9. Some of you might have seen this before but some years ago I ran coyotes with my Sight hounds.. I would use a fox pro remote caller and on horse back go with them. I had some guys asking me to video how I did it so my wife bought me a camera and this was the first trip out.. Problem with using a predator call is there are more predators out there then coyotes! http://youtu.be/THkF0ZCV6yQ
  10. Hi Im new here from over here in the states. I run hounds on lions and bears now but use to run alot of coyotes and jack rabbits with sight hounds. I'm going to try and breed some lurchers that would work here in the states.. I also make some hunting videos that I just put together myself ,, not sure if I can post them here or not, they are on youtube Thanks!
