  1. Hi all, Anybody got any experience in making or using these nets. They are similar to a seine net and fished in tidal water. I am in the process of putting a net together but I am after hitting a dead end when it came to joining the sections together. I have the center piece which is 100 mesh deep and the two outer sections which are 60 mesh deep each and i am not sure how to go about joining them together. It is not a straight forward 2:1 pick up ratio so any advice is very welcome. Cheers, Ray.
  2. My dad is rattling my head about sharpning a bunch of hoof knives he has at home. I made an attempt to do so with an electric hand tool I piked up at a diy store and it was not bad but still I'm not happy with it. These knives have a bend/curl at the end of the blade and they are difficult to edge so any ideas or solutions on how to master this would be really appreciated. thanks in advance, Ray.
  3. If you were to add a SBS for the starter and ender knot then that would really make this net repair thread the very best and clearest I have ever seen. Everythig to do with the repair in one place would be a brilliant advantage to anybody who likes to chance their arm with repairing a net.
  4. Hi guys, I am trying to source 5" 210D/18 sheet nylon netting for hares but i can't seem to locate it anywhere. I checked Advance Netting but the best I could find is 4.5". Is there anywhere this can be sourced as I seem to have met a dead end with this?
  5. Hi tiercel, There is a mountain of information in this post. I do a bit of mending myself but am limited due to not knowing how t cut the net properly. I am watching your side knot here and it is very well explained. I was a little confused when you refer to how you have to reverse the sheet bend knot from up throught the mesh to down through the mesh when you switch from left to right direction of mending as I had never heard or read about it before. I have had the issue where the meshes were twisting in me and I could not figure out why. If only I could master cuutting the net n
