  1. To be honest I can't see it being a problem over the winter. It's when they come into season the trouble starts.
  2. We used the old cloth cash bags you used to get. 10 nets in every bag. Count them up after every bury. Hardly lost any nets. But each to there own
  3. Yeah them posts are probably true to be honest. You're not missing much.
  4. Yeah he's the one who wrote all the books.
  5. I'm from Nuneaton too. Do you know John Glover?
  6. I've been looking at these myself. But I'm torn between these and a 20 bore. I've never shot either of these so any help would be appreciated
  7. Shavings and shredded paper for me. Always got told not to use hay or straw.
  8. I've just got a Ranger. I work in a Ford garage and the only ones we see are the ones that haven't been serviced right. Stick to regular servicing and there a good motor
  9. As I walk by night is another good poaching book.
  10. 6 months is when i would start working them but only on easy buries. They won't learn anything sat in the hutch at home.
  11. I'm going on the Sunday. Not been for a few years so be good to go
  12. I don't know if there is any real difference between a mark 1 and a mark 2. I thought it was just the picture on the front of the finder. I've never used a mark 3 so not really able to comment personally but I know people sold there mark 1&2 finders for mark 3s then wanted there old finders back. Personally I like the old finders maybe it's just because it was what I learnt to ferret with and I don't like change. I'd be interested to see what people think.
  13. As long as you've got a collar and finder don't worry about loosing them. You ll find that till they get the hang of things they ll keep showing anyway.
  14. My first working terrier. She s 6 months old Saturday. Looking forward to see how she gets on
