Flatpack every time for me. They will outlast any other trap on the market and come ready to use, no fiddling to get them right. Even after 4/5 years they are still very strong and look like new the cheaper ones just seem to rust and tarnish. We buy them by the 100 and they work out not too bad. Yes there are cheaper on the market but I prefer Flatpack after trying them.

First wasps' nest of the season

I hate Vulcan to far too many call backs. Lets hope they come up with something else in the next 18 months -

Yet another kick in the teeth
Dirksdonuts replied to myersbg's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
We dont carry ladders. 5 poles and a PA2 and as a company we do anywhere from 800-1200 nests a year most nests only need one pole. Ladders are a pain and as you know can be dangerous -

Vulcan is ok like most say but it does block up a little. We changed over systems to try and combat the blocking now all we use is a PS Powder Applicator which is basically a powder pot at the top of the poles so has no poles to block up the poles are used simply to carry the air. PA2 Wasp Nest Powder Applicator WWW.1ENV.COM PA2 Wasp Nest Powder Applicator is a practical and easy to use powder applicator. Reduced preparation time, no pumping required, saving you time on every wasp nest... Can be bought a various other outlets and -
Hi Neal - Deadfast products are based around a rodenticide called Difethialone 0.0025% strength. The product its self will certainly kill rats as the Lethal dose for an average rat of 250gms needs to eat 5.6gms of this bait to kill it. Each block is 20gms. You live in a county that is renowned for resistance to certain kinds of rodenticide but there is no resistance in Hampshire to this rodenticide. Avoid products like warfarin, difenacoum and Bromadialone. The only thing that would put me off buying the product would be the size of the box that it comes in normally they are s

100% agree with Dido.1 it kills off the nest

You will get even more if you put the food pack in the centre. Thats what attracts them. Don't open it just leave it sealed as it has air holes in it already

We probably get 2-3 oriental roach jobs a year mainly in takeaway type premises. German roaches we see about one a month and these are in food outlets and private homes where the tenants often bring them in on imported food. We find that Hoy Hoy traps are the best on the market to see how bad the infestation is and how wide spread. We then only use Goliath Gel. Never look to spray them with anything in my humble opinion as this drives them somewhere else. Let them think they are eating happily but all food sources need to removed and the areas be spotless which is a great ask for most take awa

Yes Orientals and as you know the worst to get rid of. The Germans are pretty easy prey with the Goliath Gel but the Orientals seem to hang on in there so much longer.

Lady in a private house said she had seen a cockroach in her kitchen a few years ago so we put down a HoyHoy trap nearby the photograph was taken 24hrs later. All stages of life on there. Shit it took some gel and months to get her free of them.

Over the counter rat poison
Dirksdonuts replied to budharley's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Difenacoum is probably the not the best poison for rats. The LD50 which means how much does an average rat need to eat to kill it is 9grms. Bromadialone LD50 is 5.6grms Brodifacoum LD50 is 1.3grms Just bear in mind what other animals are around the baiting area before you put any of the above down as some animals are more prone to death with less of the poison that others. Hopefully the attached chart will give you some ideas. If not PM me and I will run through it with you.
