  1. secretagentmole, I would be buying the Ultra SE with the single bolt action, I saw the MMC version on Youtube and I wouldn't want one, too many actions to carry out.
  2. Don't worry James, comments not off topic. I've found a single shot magazine for the BSA Ultra so this would address the HFT multishot magazine issue, as per shergar's comments. I'm a bit worried about the reliability issues with the BSA Ultra though, is this a common thing with Ultras?
  3. Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking the same thing about the accuracy of a multishot, once the pellet's in the breech what's the difference, I'm struggling to think why it would matter but I'm sure ther's some reasoning behind it. I've also not found anyone that has any issues with the accuracy of the Ultra.
  4. I put this spreadsheet together when working with my DIY chronograph so I could see the power based on an fps reading, someone might find it useful. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2253850/Power%20calculatuion.xlsx
  5. Hi, I want to upgrade from my smk CO2 rifle to a PCP, I've been looking at a BSA Ultra multishot SE and a Brocock Contour supersix. After talking to some gunshops, the main question they ask is "What do you want to do with it?" My answer is mainly target shooting, maybe try some HFT but not really hunting etc. The guidance is to go for an Air Arms S400 single shot but I'm not really keen on the look of the the S400, I'm told that the single shot is more accurate than the multishot option and HFT sites don't like multishot because the rifle remains loaded after your shot. So I'
  6. Well, it's true, you learn something new every day and today was an every day day, thanks for the links to the Artillery hold video, used loads of springers in my teens but now i use a CO2 SMK. I do have an old Diana 78 in the Garage and I'm tempted to get it out for a play.
  7. Thanks guys, a couple of double posts makes me feel doubly welcome.
  8. Hi, Is there any recommendations of which courier to use for sending air rifles and pistols? I've seen people on other forums using myHermes.
  9. Hi, I've come back to airguns after 20 or more years away and slowly getting back into it, getting the time is the biggest problem. I've got an SMK TH78D in .22 with a CO2 fire extinguisher for bulk filling. I've also got a couple of pistols, an UMAREX CPS Sport and a Swiss Arms P1911. I've been a member of the chineseairgunforum for a while and using the information posted by others, made myself a couple of good silencers. I'm now thinking of investing in a PCP, probably a BSA Ultra MK2 multishot or a Brocock contour multishot not sure which yet. I'll be having a good rea
