  1. very nice, spit of mine even done to the collar and lead.
  2. A 6ft lead from strong stuff with a mountaineering clip on the end to fasten around tree/post when ground is too soft or one of the dog corkscrew spikes with the handle cut right down and bent into a loop, this is small enough to fit in my pocket on my back pack also stops it bending with the aforementioned clip through the loop (done by a welder i know).
  3. URU thanks. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.
  4. Thanks for comments, I thought about that but i don't know any good cockers, I always liked the old border lakies from when I was a kid so will go for that. The dog and bitch are both what I like, decent size (under 14'' and spannable not that this affect bushing) and work well and they both have that dont mess with me attitude to life, good with the people they know but dont trust strangers.
  5. Thanks, she is a fit as a fiddle and (touch wood) never had and problems. Just to deciding on the dog, either my mates bushing border or another lads beddlington, both decent at what the do and good with people
  6. Hello, I have a lakie/fell bitch she has just turned 6, I would like to breed a pup from her but, her seasons have always come mid season or the pups would be born at holiday time. She has just come into season and I would like to breed one litter but i am worried she maybe too old, is this the case?. Can somebody please advise Thanks Vosey
  7. I thought the pup would have been snapped up, good luck with the sale.
  8. Nice pup, hope he gets a good home. He looks like he knows he isn't accepted.
  9. We went up yesterday, scorcher of a day weather wise. Good show with the fly fishing, hounds etc, etc, especially liked watching the horses some good driving around those obstacles. Good mix of things to do and see, a lot more commercial than it used to be 20 years ago but still worth the trip up, loved the hounds men singing at the end. Will go two days next year to save rushing around. I don't know what it will be like today if they get rain, the hill will take out some people.
  10. Nice looking and strong pups good luck with them.
  11. Hi mate, with mice he could start sniffing them out any time, mice caught her first about 18 weeks, then when she got her adult teeth circa 7-8 months she got her first rat. a lot of lakies self enter quite young. good luck with him.
  12. These are very similar to border lakies I had back in the 80's and 90's, I loved this cross, so much so that I am going to cross my black and tan fell/lakie with my mates border dog, he is very similar to logunmk2's dog above but all tan, well proportioned and with a strong head, they both have good noses and work on top very well.
  13. WD, gnipper you will have to come down the teme they always seem to fight harder from there.
