  1. Are they the West Country Harrier type, or the Stud Book type? Do you think he would be interested?
  2. I live in the mid Tipperary area, between Cashel and Thurles. Do you hunt with hounds? If so, which kind of hounds, and are you interested in WCHs?
  3. Is anyone out there interested in English Harriers; more specifically the old light-coloured breed called the West Country Harriers (WCH)? I'm looking to find a hound enthusiast who would be interested in breeding a small pack of this rare strain and keeping it full-blooded, or in maintaining a number of full-bred WCHs as part of a pack of hounds already in existence. Please reply ONLY if serious, responsible and interested.
  4. Hello, I'm new to this forum but not new to hounds. It is not true to state that hounds are not sold in Ireland or Britain. Hunts which operate under the auspices of the Hound Association of Ireland or its British equivalent are forbidden to sell any hound, whether it is a puppy or older dog - this is the honoured tradition. As a previous commentator said, pups can be 'drafted' from one hunt pack to another by arrangement, but no money changes hands.
