Yes I got conned recently, thats why I did a lot of research on how to avoid scams:) Thought I share my stories so you dont get conned

Guys just to let you know a form of scam performed by con artist. As you may know I am selling a R10 MK2 on Gunstar and a guy named stephen plate contacted me to buy the rifle. He will not give me his phone number and he want me to accept payment in paypal. I dont have problem taking payment with paypal but the buyer insists on getting his friend to pick up the rifle. Now here comes the problem! If you, the seller, can not provide proof of delivery, you will be screwed by paypal, because the fund can be reversed!!! Google this type of scam, it's not new. Here is the conversation I had

Ok, I have received nothing from Mr Kyle Maw today, and his phone is switched off. I am going to report the police tomorrow.

I have not heard a word from Mr Kyle Maw since Sunday evening, still no tracking number, no rifle, just need to wait another day to report police.

Guys KurtH helped me find his true identity, the name is Kyle Robinson Maw! I won't bother chasing tracking number again cause he just ignores me, if no rifle turn up by Wednesday, I will report to police

I only need to wait two days, because he has given me the estimated date of delivery, the police told me that I can contact them again if I have not received the item by then. And he doesn't really answer my text messages or calls....

Guys that is great information ! I sent him messages yesterday to say that I have police involved and he finally replied at around 10:30, although still wont speak to me on phone, he said his parents already sent me tracking number on on Saturday which I never received, he also accuse me for hassling him. I mean come on all he need to do was to send me the number. Ok he finally text to say that he will send ne tracking number today and I should receive the rifle by Wednesday the latest. I still not received the tracking number, but I will wait until Wednesday

Ok I am gonna give you guys his address, this con artist, who claims to be K Maw lives in 420 Huddersfield road, WF17 7 JQ The post code does not really match his address.

Oh well it's pretty clear that he is a con man, he would not return my phone calls or giving me a tracking number, I I think he doesn't have one

He said the rifle has been collected by currier yesterday, I will post his address if the rifle does not turn up by Thursdays next week. Like the other members correctly pointed out he has not committed a crime yet, but is highly suspicious

I still had no response from him since yesterday morning, but I am ready grateful for all the support from you guys. My wife kindly offered to give me 250 pound to cheer me up . It was was really silly of me to believe in this guy, well lesson learned
