  1. Thanks. As a result of comments received here and elsewhere I have decided to go with bell waterers. Thanks to everyone for your input
  2. Hi Is anybody using nipple waterers from Quill productions, and if so how do they get on with them please? http://www.quillproductions.co.uk/Qu...-Chickens.html I ask because I want to install a gravity fed watering system in our pen. Alternatively any views on bell waterers and which ones are best, they all seem to come with a "not frost proof " warning. Thanks Chris
  3. Thanks New mounts would be needed on both .22lr and .223. Shame I made sure that the scopes were mounted low in the first place.
  4. Chris Also thinking of adding a dfa 75 to my 223. How much clearance between the scope and the barrel do you need to fit the dfa? Appreciate that it does not answer your question, but thanks for any help you can give. Also Chris
  5. Should have added....in terms of bangs for your bucks "some blokes" iris reducer is the first mod to make.IMHO
  6. Had mine just over a week. Like some others I was pretty disappointed with display, very grainy and incredibly focus fussy. Have since fitted "some blokes " 24mm iris reducer and a Nightmaster 400 IR (turn the built in laser off and leave it off!) and the set up now works great on my CZ. If you've just got one and are not impressed- try the above - worked for me and if they hadn't then the photon would likely be on flea-bay. Just waiting for the £4.99 coaster to fit to the focus ring which should make the unit usable in the field
  7. I think that should do the job http://www.hawkeoptics.co.uk/brc.html#.Uuzs8Pl_t8E
  8. Solvent swelling the patches fits with the dry one and the oil ones working ok. Will try a smaller patch. Thanks
  9. No one has anything to say? Please...............
  10. Newbie to CF rifles. Help please. Re - zeroed my T3 .223 this morning having repositioned the scope, and then I cleaned the rifle afterwards. How much force should I need to push the cleaning rod through the barrel? I am using a bore guide, and the initial dry patches I ran through to see what ***p there was went ok, but the patches with solvent were really , really hard to push through. The last patch with drop of gun oil on went through relative easily. Patches and jag are , apparently the right size. So as the bishop said to the actress " how hard should I be pushing?" Thanks
  11. 5 weeks, daily use and they perished. Returned to supplier and got a full credit. Won't buy again, going back to Aigle. You get what you pay for.
