Would recommend Lee Moulds also. Although they only make 2 at a time , you can actually make ammo faster because once you remove the balls from the mould that’s it , you don’t have to cut bits off to tidy them up . I have used other moulds that make 10 balls at a time but then had to spend more time tidying them up.

I got a 10mm one as I have found 9.5mm steel just a bit light for my type of shooting (I’m probably not a good enough shot ?) I was using 12mm lead ammo but I wasn’t any good with that either due to drop off The 10mm lead is not much bigger physically than the 9.5mm steel but hopefully heavy enough to do the job It doesn’t drop off as much as I thought it would at longer distances. I will just have to try and hit something with them now !

I recently bought a Lee Mould It only makes 2 balls at a time , but the overall process is quicker compared to the fishing moulds This is because you don’t have to do any cutting or removing bits off the ball I decided on the Lee Mould because I noticed that there was an accuracy issue sometimes with the fishing mould balls compared to using steel ammo The Lee Mould balls don’t have this problem The price of the Mould was about £25 from Henry Crank Hope this helps ?

I use Gzk 0.8 at the moment but it all depends on what ammo and draw length you use.

The Barnet tubing is a lot bigger than 1745 and 2050

wrist rocket /barnett type catapults may give the impression that they are more powerfull because of the effort required to draw them back. But the real test of the type of rubber used is the speed it contracts and returns to its origonal length on release , not how hard it is to stretch As an extreme example , if you try and stretch a rope you will have to put in a great deal of effort but it doesnt make the rope any good for a catapult the barnet tubes appear ok for large heavy ammo , especially with the large pouch they use the problem is that for the most commonly used

very nice catty Barry i didnt know about the gzk rubber so i bought 0.8 green i dont have a crony but it does seem better than theraband it lasts longer and for larger ammo you dont need double bandsets for small ammo the bandwidth can be cut a lot narrower than theraband the only problem i have now is that i need to work out the best band size taper etc for my needs where i had more or less done this with theraband keeps the hobby interesting though the other variable is i have only tried 0.8mm and there are a few thicknesses to try

i have used wasps for a while now they are good value for money and tough i bought a few and use them to experiment with different type of bands etc if you have a few wasps all banded up differently it is easy to see the differences . then when you decide on a bandset you can band up 2 or 3 the same and not worry about any breakages when you are out using them they are also of a size that you can fit a few in your pocket

same as barrywhite. also greymans advice on proshot bloodsport is spot on. highly recomend this one if you want to get into aiming catapults then i strongly suggest you try a non braced one. checkout how to aim a catapult on you tube. appologies if you already know this. just trying to save you wasting time and effort on the diablo. the diablo may be a good starter but all the topshots use other stuff

had a look at the comps on youtube . distances are 10m 15m 20m and 30 but cannot find target sizes.

does anyone know the target sizes and distances for the ukca comps? i,m not on facebook so can,t get info . thanks

tried it , was ok but a bit big for my liking. had to file some of forks for the size of bands i was using. if it turns out not to your liking the dog can always have it as you say,

hold catapult sideways and aim along bands . as said above there are videos how to do this. normally top of upper band on the fork is the point you place on your target so fit the sight here. but i agree it may not help good luck
