  1. Nice pups them pal, proper little beauties
  2. Looks pretty disgusting and not very appealing, doubt I would bother
  3. Never tried a fox, and can't say I want too, can't see the point in eating vermin when we have chicken, pork, beef, venison all readily available. If however we had no other easy source of food, like the men and boys in the trenches during the war, then I reckon you would eat anything, the urge to survive would be to strong for me and down it would go ! I remember years ago an old keeper loved finding badgers, he used to boil them up and keep the fat to waterproof his clothes/boots, and reckoned he cured the meat for eating. I only ever smelt the Badgers boiling and that was enough for me
  4. Haha! Yer bloody things! Loves to slide about! They all do pal, I have the ranger and that's slippy as a slippery thing on wet grass, get a few bags of corn in the back and it makes all the difference tho.I do like the high seat, and some good views around, presume it's for deer ? Yer for roe and muntjac. It's near a big release pen so hopefully pick up some sneaky foxes after the young polts when we get them in!Good luck, plenty of munt this side of the border, if your anything like us you will be busy gralloching. Yer mine is only on road tyres at the moment and getting round the shoot ok, m
  5. Should have added I transfer my eggs into a separate hatcher, and I do add water to that, my hygro says its just under %, not sure how accurate that is though, it's the point I get the best hatching.

I'm on my second one now and it's an automatic and it's much less embarrassing than my old manual one lol All jokin aside, mine is still on the factory
  8. Sounds like a good opportunity for someone looking to get into it, what area ?
  9. Does anyone have any fertile eggs to sell ? I have built a new pen, 100metres by 45 metres, I have been looking around deciding what birds to get, I really like lemon Pyle brahmas, (in fact I like most of the brahma colours) silver laced wyandottes, I don't particularly like buying fertile eggs off places like eBay, so thought I would ask if any of you guys have anything interesting and be willing to sell fertile eggs ? Or possibly even trade for some of mine. Not just set on chickens, am also looking for some more geese and ducks.
  10. I have hatched a fair few quail under my Orpington bantams, and have just had two clutches hatch under Perkins, so it can be done
  11. Ha, that's an endless question pal, it depends on so many things, where it is running, the room, Windows, doors, droughts, etc etc, all make a difference, but as rule of thumb, I put no water in any of my incubators now, I did, but the eggs were just not loosing enough water, so I run them totally dry and having some good hatches now, I find my house and buildings seem to have a high enough humidity as it is.

  13. Black lug, sand eel, or joey mackerel for me, never heard chicken skin.
  14. Welcome, what part of camps are you ?
  15. After some advice I have covered my trap, I piled heaps of sticks, branches and wood against it, I had to leave a bit on top clear as that's where the trip cord runs, I also just finished putting some soil in the bottom, I knew where a fox den was, so went and shovelled up loads of soil from around the entrance, and have put a good covering in the bottom of the trap, and all around it, two reasons, I am sure walking on the mesh must be alien to them (not saying they wouldn't do it) and I am also hoping the smell around the den must have been foxy, and apparently a trap that smells of fox works
  16. Result, nice bit of kit, even got skimmers to bury the trash.
  17. Nice one, be very interested in seeing the finished product as I am looking at very similar ideas myself. I see your not too far away in Northants.
  18. Provided it's a small hole, and the pipe isn't too damaged, dig it up carefully, a neat cut and just a straight connector.
  19. 50p a day per sheep? 50p cheap then?? You want to expand your flock into Gloucestershire BlackDog? For that price, I will even provide all the shepherding for you as well, although you must pay for drugs etc. 50p a day is £3.50 a week. That's f***ing extortion! For sheep I'd pay no more than £60/acre per annum, or 75p per head per week. That's a bit nearer the figures we are getting around here
  20. I could have sorted you but too far mate
  21. Loads being caught from Blackpool beach if you fancy a holiday. Lovely place Blackpool. There is a urinal in every shop doorway. Don't you mean someone put a shop door in every urinal ?
  22. Heads shots on rabbits no problem, the above video is what you get and plus, awesome bit of kit well worth the money, there is is lot of user settings you can play with as well.My outlook on life now because i'm at that age lol,is (you only live this life ones). I don't know what ranges that video was taken at, but it's not what I would call clearly defined for head shooting, possibly because of the mag, as you can see the heads well enough at whatever range that was, if I compare that video to my nv, I prefer my setup for clarity, but I see a definite advantage the thermal has spotting thin
  23. Nice one pal, very lucky been so close, I love my sea fishing, have a couple of boats, but hour and a half motorway driving to get to the coast, I still do it as often as possible though. Your right about fresh mack, I like em still flapping :-)
  24. Thanks Lab.Can I ask what was the decider for you packing it in ? I would want orders before I even set an egg, thanks for confirming my own line of thought. I wouldn't be doing it full time myself straight away, I have two good businesses at present, I would be doing a fair bit, but the general day to day jobs would be the Mrs and one of my lads, checking, feeding, watering, collecting and washing eggs and such like. I would be involved in all the building, maintenance side, catching, bitting, and such like, as well as obviously keeping an overall eye on everything, my main business virtua
