  1. You're really not happy are you mate. Give it a good clean and try some exacts up the spout. How do you like the balance No i ain't impressed bry, it's a grands worth of gun and quite frankly what I found today I wouldn't have paid £300 for it, I have some rough Arse guns that make it look silly mate. Balance wise, I find it feels perfect, although today's shooting was all done from a rest, it sits in the shoulder perfect, it just feels right. I will try cleaning the barrel and see what difference if any that makes.
  2. By all accounts they all 'should' do it, annoys the hell out of me though, apparently a firm in Mk called air fective can tune it and must change the hammer system as it reduces if not eliminates the noise. Who the hell wants a multi shot hunting tool that sounds like zebedee, if I wanted a springer I would buy one !
  3. Hmmm, I thought the same, seems the more people I speak to there are a lot that do the same, i won't lie, it's a real pisser
  4. Well, as promised I set about trying the new gun today, what can I say, disappointed doesn't seem to be strong enough. I fitted the air max scope to it, and I can't put my finger on it just yet, but it doesn't seem to be a great combination. Pellets I tried were Superdomes, jsb exact Diablo rs, daystsate sovereigns, falcon accuracy plus and defiant ogives. I couldn't get what I call a decent group from any of them, at a push I would say the jsb just had the edge, but at 37 yards it was still well over a half inch group, nearer to an inch I would say, not measured, just stood and lo
  5. I am interested in one of them griff, looks the mutts nuts, I think I have some antler laying in my yard, will look tomorrow to see if it's suitable. Pm also on its way.
  6. No worries mate, am often moving the sheds about and always see a few rats, next time I move one your welcome to come.
  7. I will have a look on my vagcom/CDs and see if it doe the ranger 07, never checked. If you blank the egg you will need to reset engine management light on the dash as it will show as a fault I believe.
  8. Afraid I am with the others on this, plastic ferret boxes are not great, I tried one years back, it had loads of ventilation in the sides, and the inside of the box still got clammy, the shavings were always damp, not good for the stinkers. My wooden box on the other hand still has the same shavings from two seasons ago, I painted the outside when I built it, and that's all I've ever done.
  9. Cheers Phil, I have some of those, I have quite a few pellets in .22 so should be an interesting day tomorrow. Superdomes FAPS Daystate sovereign Jsbs and the list goes on.
  10. I preferred what was in them hence they got kicked off in the kitchen !
  11. It's in .22, and no it's not the laminate one, I got a good price on this one so it came away with me, the intention was to have a look, get a feel of it and see if I liked them, it just felt so right in the shoulder. Those pulsars are bloody heavy, my mate has the renegade and that is a hefty lump, I was impressed how light the wildcat is, you could stand for hours with it and feel no strain.
  12. Well after a lot of thought I dropped into a gunshop today to have a look at a wildcat, never held one before, so got it in my hands and god it felt so right, I did notice a couple of minor marks from it been on the shelf, due to the marks he agreed £900, a spare mag and pair of sealskin camo gloves, money handed over and off I went with my new toy. Just wish I could post some pics on here for you all to take the piss ! Tomorrow is testing day, looking forward to seeing how it groups.
  13. No takers, I really need to get a dog myself for round the farm with me
  14. I have found a shop that has the brand new grey laminate in for £1200
  15. Thanks Phil, am hankering after one, seen a beauty in a grey laminate stock.
  16. Ross tech, vagcom Cost me £300, but it does a list of cars as long as your arm, I have used it three times in anger, injectors, turbo boost pressure (mice had chewed a vacuum pipe) and air mass meter. I reset the service light after servicing the car so it's already paid for itself, and still holds its value if I sold it.
  17. Anyone interested in a small bit of ratting on the Bedford outskirts ? Moved a chicken shed today and approx 30 rats came out, I only managed one with my size 10's. I have another shed to move tomorrow that was almost next to it and expect the same if not a few more as this shed has holes all around it and a few bales and feeder inside. The fun won't last very long am sure, but if anyone local wants a crack at it then let me know Asap.
  18. Very nice indeed, how you getting on with the .22 ? I am seriously considering one
  19. I will second this, I bought an ultra se for the Mrs to shoot, it's so light and accurate it's now my Nv rifle lol, until I buy a wildcat that is !
  20. I presume this is a full length and not carbine ?
  21. Yeah I have one for the Mrs vw Passat, it's brilliant and has saved me a fortune several times, last time it found a faulty injector and discovered it was a recall and would have cost 2k had I just sent it in for repair. Can reset service lights as well, wouldn't be without it.
  22. Which ranger do you have ? I have the limited 3.2 and lucky if I get 25/26mpg
  23. What was wrong with it, the dmax is one of the next ones I have been considering early next year.
