  3. Its what i have just been told over the phone by someone that works at natural england, They read it straight off the licence that they give upon application, and then granted the licence. I wonder if it was a wetlands licence ? Dont want to ring back, feel like a nuisance, will ask when i see them later. atb phil
  4. Sorry moxy, Right, my contact has just told me that on the licence itself it mentions specifically the use of semi auto shotguns due to the welfare of the animal, and the reduced risk of wounding, So no, Air rifles dont come into it at all. atb phil

  11. I think a lot of people already have there best pellet, but there are allways newcomers posting on here or just people who have bought a new rifle and could benefit from this kind of service. So good on you mate, and i hope it takes off. 2 or 3 of 8.4's 7.9's so on and so on, you get the drift, and the same in .22. atb phil
  12. Blimey, all that in the box ! I keep a chrony in the boot when i go shooting for much the same reasons, I like to know exactly where the rifle is at, so it stay's accurate. I have been on the fringe of buying one of those stealth's a few times over the years, but never did, I think the "next" time, I just might. atb phil

  14. Just been talking to someone i know, and the general licence is fine with obvious restrictions, sssi's, wetlands, public places, etc. this is part of the email that was sent. Permitted all year round in england and wales on the appropriate general licences. And during the open season in scotland and northern ireland. This can be an effective legal control technique. especially in rural areas. In most urban areas, shooting will not be possible because of public safety considerations. basically you can shoot CG's under general licence. The purpose for which this general licence a
  15. That was a good read, enjoyed that deano. Like the case you made for it, but what is the large black box in the case ? Just one point, the AT, anti tamper on todays airguns is not set in law, but done by manufacturers as the "responsible" thing to do, and you can indeed have it removed if you so wish. Daystate offered this service, dont know if they still do, but they would not break the law if indeed it was the law, had mine removed off my HW100 so i can fine tune it myself, and my FAO was perfectly fine with that. HW100 is non fac. You said the makers put the rifles out on or just below 11f
