  2. Thanks for the replies lads, it is more than likely thats its just my positioning from the scope lens. I'll wait until i get the rifle and then i'll bring it to my dealer and ask if he can assist in setting the scope. As for the scope, its a Hawke SPORT HD IR 4-12X50 AO MIL DOT 1".
  3. Hey all, Firstly im new to shooting, I dont have my rifle yet (paid for and awaiting license). I was out shooting with a friend at the weekend. I was using his rifle and found the scope very difficult and annoying, i kept getting a tunnel like effect and had to constantly adjust the position of my head to get a clear view but i could not sustain it long enough to settle the cross hair onto the target. I put this down to the scope being set up to his preference of distance from eye lense and position on rail etc. and im hopeing im right as my scope has arrived in the post this morni
  4. Thanks for the replies lads. Its a scorpion t10 pcp rifle. Any t10 owners out there know if a 1 piece affects the loading mag at all, from pics i see it looks really close.
  5. Hey, Just ordered a scope, its the Hawke sport hd 4-12x50 and i was just thinking about the required mounts. Will i need high mounts due to the 50mm lens? or could i get away with medium mounts? Also whats the advantages of 1 piece or 2 piece mounts over each other?
  6. Nice morning for ye. Went for a walk this morning myself and no sign of anything only Grey rats jumping among the trees.
  7. thanks for the reply phantom, hopefully thats the case. Ive chosen the Air Arms s410 but the standard model (no scope, mounts, straps etc ) is costing me €845 euro. I was hoping to get the whole set up for under €1000. So it looks like i'll have to go 2nd hand.
  8. Hey all, I was just wondering if it was possible for a Rep of Ireland Gun dealer to import an air rifle from a private seller in the UK? I know its possible for them to bring in new rifles , and any ive asked about importing have always qouted me new gun price even tho i stated 2nd hand or new.
  9. Hi all, I was out on a friends land the other week ( who is also my permission for ferreting) and he said if i had a shooting licence he would allow me to shoot the wood pigeon and rabbits too. Ive never owned a firearm of any description but have always thought about taken it up. So i started to delve into the world of firearm licensing here in the Rep of Ireland and quickly realised that this was not going to be an easy or quick process. Just looking through the FCA1 form i can see that its accomadating to those of whom have used guns before but not so much for a newcomer. There is a
  10. Did you get any of them after?
  11. As I was walking out of the door to go to the pub, my wife shouted down the stairs "Eastenders is on, turn the telly over before you go out". So I did & I have just got a text saying : You're a c**t, I can't turn it back, it's too heavy

  15. While it is great that eventually someone has got the finger out and decided to start taking action instead of club members and ordinary joe on the canal bank having to confront these guys ( which arent always polite and pleasant affairs for either party) i have to admit thats its not always and only the eastern europeans, we are guilty of it ourselves. Some maybe innocently like not knowing bag limits or weight restrictions but most waters i go to have clear rules posted up upon entry and yet you walk around seeing barbed hooks, 3 fish in a bag, live bait etc......if we want to protect our sp
