  1. Hi Just wondering if it is possible to connect an iPhone to my Ns200 so I could record what I was seeing on the display screen. Apologies if this is a daft question. Thanks in advance Joe
  2. Hi Rat Face I have allways had large whites. I run two sows together and find them easy to rear, friendly, easy to feed and the meat is lovely and there is lots of it.I usually pay £60 each to have the pigs slaughtered and butchered all vacuum sealed in specific cuts. I normally get about 400 sausages but I have never tried curing any meat for bacon etc.I cant comment on if it tastes better than other breeds as I have never tried any of the other popular breeds. I hope this helps Cheers Joe
  3. Hi Has anyone dug themselves a flight pond to rear duck on and shoot etc. Iam thinking of doing this on some land I have and would appreciate any input from anyone who has done something similar. Cheers Joe
  4. Hi Thanks for the replies I do have a 22 rimfire but my licence isn't open yet However I had concerns regarding richocet off the water. I have already refused to shoot The geese but you have confirmed that I have made the correct decision thanks for your help Joe
  5. Hi I have been asked to shoot two canada geese at one of my permissions properties which is a residential hall where a dozen or so people live in seperate apartments, there is a lake out to one side of it where the geese reside and keep fowling the lawn etc. I have contacted BASC who have informed me that they can be shot out of season on a general licence for public health reasons. The lake is about thirty yards from the windows of the property, there is a small road along one side of the lake with about ten yards of lawn between it and the lake and there is a big lawn to the left and th
  6. Hi I spent a yesterday on a local shoot as a lurking gun which I enjoyed greatly, and althought I wasnt fortunate enough to get a shot at one there were four snipe in the bag at the end of the day. I was offered a brace of these snipe but decided just to accept a brace of pheasant and duck that I was lucky enough to shoot. However my interest has been pricked regarding these small birds and would be greatfull of any advice regarding recipes, perperation and how to cook Snipe. Many thanks in advance Joe
  7. Hi I was out the other evening dug in some scrub with my shotgun shooting crows that flew past, I could disco one stone dead then five minutes later another crow on the same flight path, speed and height and I would miss the bloody thing. The same thing happens while shooting rabbits with my rimfire, Its irritating but I think it happens to everyone from time to time. Cheers Joe
  8. Hi Thanks for the replies. There is an established shoot nearby which has recorded lower numbers of ducks than normal as well so maybe it has just been a slow year. I have not seen any ducks on the ponds during the day either, as for Teal I shot two about three weeks ago but they were the only two I have ever seen on either ponds in the three seasons I have been feeding them. I will keep an eye on them and post any new results. Cheers again Joe
  9. Hi I have two ponds on one of my permissions which I feed and shoot the ducks and the occasional Teal and have done so for about three seasons now. However after a good start to this season I have not seen a duck on either for several weeks. The food I leave isnt getting eaten, I have tried different feed but nothing is working. Also I have not seen as many ducks flying about in general either. The canadas are proving ellusive aswell as Iam used to seeing them fly about a lot around my area (Cheshire). I realise that the ducks arwe getting shot all around but I have not seen so few number
  10. Hi paulista What is the reason for fitting the trigger kit Cheers
  11. Hi I have noticed people mentioning that they change the trigger on the cz 452, I was just wondering why this would be? How much it costs and how easy it is to do. Thanks in advance Joe
  12. Hi Thanks for the replies. I dont have an open ticket yet so I will need the firearms dept to check the land. The farmer has asked me to thin out the foxes for him, however I only have .22 rimfire on my ticket, so Iam thinking this would be a good time to ask for a .223. would I just write to the firearms dept asking for the additional calibre and the land to be checked in one letter. Thanks in advance Joe
  13. Hi I have gained a new permission on which I would like to use my rimfire on, I know it has not been shot for many years and therefore wont be on the police database. Am I correct in thinking I need to write a letter to the firearms dept asking them to inspect the land for suitability?. If so are there any template letter formats anyone knows of. Thanks in advance Joe
  14. Hi Am i correct in thinking that ROOST SHOOTING involves being on the edge of a forrest or patch of trees that the pigeon want to sleep in at the right time of day and shoot them as they try to land in these trees. If this is so around what time would be the best time to intercept them. Thanks in advance Joe
  15. Hi Does anyone have an easy recipe for making homemade jam. Thanks in advance Joe
