anything that makes me think twice before i do it.
  1. If you are at 11.5 now the top hat will more than likely put you over the limit.Extra weight and greater spring compression plus the liner,as it reduces friction could put a couple of f/p on it.If you have any preload washers fitted I would take them out.
  2. Do a google search mate, you will find out how the AT can "fall off".Depending on the age of the gun it may not even have it fitted. It is not illegal to remove it or own a gun without it fitted and as your gun is out of warranty it wont effect that either.
  3. They are fine for pcp use but no good for springers not 100% sure of the technical side of it,it's something to do with the "recoil" being faster than the pellet leaving the barrel so the bipod gets this force transferred to it therefore kicking the barrel and losing your accuracy.I have seen some guns with the plastic looking barrel fitted rest/bipod as opposed to the stock mounted one but have no idea if these are any good,I would guess not.
  4. It goes inside the piston mate, same length and diameter, make it a bit longer and cut triangle shapes out of one end, fold these inside it and put this end in the piston first then the spring. The folded under bit is trapped by the spring against the piston head thus holding it in place. You can make them out of a pop can,or get some PTFE sheet off ebay £6 for an A4 size sheet you can get a few from that.In my 97 I made one from 0.5 mm thickness PTFE nice fit but not too tight, any thicker would be too much.
  5. Got one in my 97,but it has a top hat and spring guide fitted as well as a ptfe piston sleeve.Did you get a kit or just the spring,as the spring alone will reverberate without the guide.
  6. Lad on the AGF does them with a top hat slip and washers for £18 posted.
  7. Airgunforum.co.uk He wants £18 posted for your own spes or £23 If you send him your spring return posted.Just look in the gunsales forum. andy.
  8. There is a bloke on AGF advertising custom made ones, either send him your measurements or your spring. andy.
  9. Cheers mate, keep me in mind if you get stuck with it i'm sure we can come to some sort of a deal. andy.
  10. Arrived today, well packed, minter.Good bloke to deal with. andy.
