  6. can somebody help me please i have some longnets to setup n im a little confused with grommets. ive seen 2 sorts 1 with a groove in for the clove hitch to sit in and the other a ring that looks to be twisted over in a kind of figure of 8. the latter are the ones i have now my question is am i right in thinking the the grommet is placed below the clove hitch and then twisted over so that it sits below and above the clove hitch? probably a stupid question but i only want to take the time to set it up once and properly cheers.
  7. in my eyes wildfowling is done only on the foreshore, to shoot a goose or duck inland is just shooting i think. i have shot ducks and geese inland and enjoyed it i but wouldnt call it wildfowling. wildfowling to me is looking at tide times wind direction thinking about what you seen or heard and making a decision as to where you think it might be worth going for a look and no shooting inland can compare to making those choices n getting it right out on the foreshore thats wildfowling to me.
  8. travelling that distance you really want a wind with easterly in it and if possible the tide pushing for butterwick to shoot in my experience hope this helps
  9. great flight remember it well the season pretty much got better n better from then on. nice to the think back to that flight n think how much those two dogs have come on since then
