How is yours for injuries mate? I have heard a lot say they are very accident prone suffer with their feet etc. mine has been good so far only had the odd knock nothing major quiet tough to be honest, i suppose they are all different though.mines ok never had any problems yet though he's still a pup about 12 or 13 month old but hes tough as old boots very sensible controls his speed rather than hit in to everything I'm over the moon with him tbh sounds like mine then this is mines first season as well i think they are a good little cross for the bunnies.how tall Is yours mate tbh i wouldnt h

Update on my pup,with her first season pretty much over now she has done me proud so far.She is 23 inches to the shoulder 19 months old now,I had a few initial problems with her stock training when she was a pup but i persevered and now she wont look at a sheep at all.She is a very loyal dog she's like my shadow everywhere i go she is by my side.I started her on the lamp the beginning of this season just ending at first she wasn't really watching the beam and trying to use her nose a few trips out and she soon cottoned on that its a lot quicker to run back to me for the next slip rather than h

Mines turned out good I'm very pleased just had her first season switched on to the lamping now , a lot of prey drive , really good nose and a very loyal dog. She's not a first cross though both parents were whippet x greyhounds , i've heard people say they are not very intelligent i don't know about other whippet x greyhounds but mines on the ball definitely not thick.

My lurchers staple was always beef mince and tripe which she got daily along with chicken wings,liver,hearts etc. Recently changed over to lamb and tripe mince in the last few months,i think its put weight on her and her coat looks even better than it did i don't know if its due to the higher fat content in the lamb or what.

I tried to watch this, but got so angry I couldn't watch it all. As for the question of cruelty: how can any sane person possibly compare correct hunting practices with the cruelty involved in deliberately breeding dogs who suffer agony because their skulls are too small for their brains? It is a sad documentary but i think more people should watch it and see how messed up some of the dogs are , i think a lot of people don't know how bad Crufts is i didn't know much about it myself until i watched that documentary.Since then I've done a bit of reading on some of the genetic problems thes

Here is something that annoys me,if you get talking to someone when out with the dog and they ask about your lurcher etc. if you ever mention you work your dog you can see the look of disgust in their eyes as if you are some sort of monster.But its acceptable in their eyes for them walking around with their inbred mutant dog that they probably paid a grand for,gets limited time out on the lead and is fed a diet of processed crap food.You hear loads of scare mongering stories about dogs used for coursing game and so on in the media i don't see many stories about the health problems in dogs

It doesnt upset me it just pisses me off that the breeding of deformed unhealthy animals for the human ego is promoted by organisations that claim to care for animals.....thats bad enough in itself but putting it on the telly is taking the piss ! Spot on comment mate.

Always liked the look of the whirriers think they could be handy mooching dogs,I've got a dvd here phil bastey with his rat pack of patterdale whippets they are demons on the rats,not sure if they are half crosses or what.I'm sure they'd be good on rabbits etc as well.

Mines on raw beef mince and tripe as a staple also chicken wings hearts anything i can get hold of.Only recently have i been leaving dry food down as well more something to nibble on than anything Gain 28 i have been using have been looking at field and trial lately,any lads using it? I'll always feed raw though as a main feed the dogs wolf it down and you can tell they love it.

She's turned out nice mate. My lad was interested in this bitch. Cheers mate she is coming on good she's got good recall walks along side me when out,is good with other dogs,retrieves and has a really good nose on her,i was chatting to the bloke who bred her last week he said all her litter mates are turning out good as well.What dog did your lad get in the end?
