  1. Hi folks, I have reintroduced myself on the main page, but thought I'd better do it over here on the air gun section as this is where I will read posts and post myself mostly My name is Ryan and I am an air gun hunter from Westbury in Wiltshire. Always on the look out for advice and tips and enjoy dispensing my own from my limited knowledge. Glad to be back, and looking forward to taking part in the forums again.
  2. Worth Pushing your bike throught the snow then! Good shooting
  3. Not new, but haven't been on here for a while. So I thought I'd better re-introduce myself. Here goes...My Name is Ryan and I am from Westbury in Wiltshire. My main shooting interest is Air Rifle hunting. I use a .22 Weihrauch HW99s topped with Hawke Sport HD 3-9x40 IR with mil-dot reticle. I have a permission of about 15 acres, I mainly shoot Rabbit as these are most abundant and the landowner wants rid of them because of the holes they leave in the horse paddocks. I also shoot Squirrel, Pigeon, Rats, and Corvids. All the best Ryan
  4. Yeah probably. Going to build a proper cage at the weekend. Will be on here for some advice on training and working it soon! Haha. Cheers
  5. Hello, Can anybody help? Tonight I found a ferret on our front lawn, it is rather small, and I would suggest not very old. It is currently in an old guinea pig run in our shed. It has hay, shavings, water and some dry dog biscuits (as suggested by a friend). As I have never had a ferret before I was wondering the best thing to feed it? I have a couple of rabbits in the freezer that are skinned and gutted. Can I just chop them up and give it portions od that? Cheers Ryan
  6. Cheers mole. I'm well chuffed with them to be honest!
  7. Well good and bad news! Bad news: my scope is going to scope heaven as it's shafted. Good news, even without the proof of purchase, hawke are sending me an equivalent sport hd model. So thumbs up from me to Hawkes after sales team! Cheers Ryan
  8. And a lot are in kit at the moment so will tend to hunker down a bit.
  9. Thats probably why they have the limited life time warranty then! haha
  10. My link Try these Mole. Ive got one and its brilliant. Pockets all over the place. If its good enough for the army, its more than enough for me!
  11. Well I have had it for a while (3 years ish). Unfortunatley I dont have the original proof of purchase. I have e-mailed Hawke (well Deben) and are waiting on a response. Thanks for the advice guys. I will keep you posted as to how good there customer services are when I hear back from them! Ryan EDITED TO SAY Bought online through uttings
  12. Hi Folks Has any body had any experience of the eye bell on these scopes coming loose and rotating? It dosn't affect the accuracy of the scope but the Ir dorsnt work, tried three new batteries. Also its never been dropped or knocked at al. Any ideas how to fix it? It does say on the box that there is a limited life time warranty, would this be covered? Cheers in advance. Ryan
  13. I like to go out at least half an hour before dark to work out where to get set up, and then work out how best to approach the nights shooting, ie, do I go static or mobile? It wasnt too cold, although I have shot rabbits in -6 (there was frost on my rifle) so can it be too cold? Oooooo thank you! And cheers for the comments everyone else!
  14. Yup, DB4.I took one of these apart to clean for someone a while back, well I say 'took', it kind of fell apart. But they do shoot pretty damn straight!
