  1. And you would be mostly right in making that bet. And I'll bet your terrier can't work the most common quarry here with enough regularity to say it was proven. Maybe you could hunt brush piles or hay mows though... or at least flush game out to the lurchers maybe. Horses for courses and all that you know. As for sites, well this site is one... a person only needs to make a donation in order to peddle their line(s) on here or do it for someone else. I'm pretty sure its dedicated to terriers and the like, and a good lot of them on there too. You see, I don't have a
  2. thats bullshit Aaah... I think that was his point.

  4. Perhaps this is a better response to the claim made by hedz31. Show us an American website with this many terriers advertised (notice that I only searched for the term "terrier" btw.) Imagine what I might find if I searched dog, pup or pups... probably loads of other dogs for sale too eh? Now tell us again who are the peddlers? http://www.loot.com/Search.aspx?catname=&catname=PETS&kw=terrier&loc=Postcode&rad=25&ti=&anything_search_submit=Search
  5. Me thinks if you keep saying that you will only believe it more and more everyday. You betcha all these terriers just popped up out of the ground over here one day.... name a line over there and I'm sure you'll find the same is already over here. Peddlers? The UK is the birthplace for many breeds... without being peddlers it makes you wonder how any of them ever got off that island eh? *edited* because I let the twat (hedz31) bother me and I posted something I wouldn't normally post.
  6. Keep as many as possible together in the same kennel, provide plenty of bedding material and make it as draft free as possible. I keep three adults together and use loads of straw for bedding. Keep fresh water available as much as possible, it actually cuts down on the amount of feed your dogs will need believe it or not. jmo...
  7. We live here.... PM if interested and you want to know more.
  8. I've got three pups available, all are black with some white, nearly 4 months old now. Free if you come pick up. Will not ship. No time wasters please, send me a PM. Remember... I'm in the USA, middle of the mitten, Michigan. 7/8 whippet x 1/8 staghound.
  9. Finally someone writting some sence, there's lots of lads on this site would do well to read this post instead of bitching and moaning, we as hunters are under more pressure and scutiny than ever before, we MUST be united You said a mouthful Coyotehunter! Why is it that so many hunters want to separate themselves from the rest, contending that only they or a select few are the real deal, chosen ones etc. It involves everything from proven breeding to knowing everything about everyone and their dogs. "Get the truth here! Being sold today only!" But I have to admit, it makes great
  10. AHAAA!! The truth comes out! But which truth are we to believe?
  11. No, they're a breed of hunting dog... probably considered a hound but I'm not sure. The old saying goes like this... "If you want sound, hunt a hound. If you want fur, hunt a cur." Generally speaking a cur gets more game because they're mostly silent so they give no warning to their quarry. Another thing I always heard was that a cur would hunt anything that will climb a tree, but I doubt they're limited to tree climbers. I had a gyp cur when I was just a boy and she hunted plenty of rabbits as well as snowshoe hare, partridge, squirrel and coon.
  12. BMC first cross? ATB The pups are full blooded BMC, I was thinking of making a first cross over the next few years if I get one. Of course, I haven't mentioned it to the misses yet though either...
