  1. Lol nice vid, that song does stick in your head
  2. My collie grey/ deerhound/ collie is 7 now and he always stops 10-15 feet away with rabbits/ big rabbits and won't come closer despite lots of training from my dad who has trained labs and spaniels and been in the retrieving game for 30 years! So E s
  3. What a cracking looking dog. An old tip passed down to me was a few teaspoons of olive oil into the meal every day to keep the coat shining. By the looks o that it's a bottle a day you've put in haha! Well done on the maintenance of that dog credit to you! Excellent...
  4. Reminds me a bit of Leo the lion! Nice what's the breeding? Collie an Beddy in there somewhere I imagine
  5. My cousin was a game keeper up in west Scotland 8 Years ago his hills were littered with White hares, now there is not 1! Bags of 7 or 8 a day were not uncommon for years. No one seen a single White h for two years. Think the fact that birds of prey are protected there now has resulted in the buzzards etc wiping out the population! There are dozens flying around now. They are nice to watch but at the same time parasites for us dog men.We can't be certain but that seems to be the only logical reason as bad weather wouldn't wipe out every hare....
  6. Yeah the ground looks pretty flat aswell. Cracking looking combination of dogs
  7. Can use photobucket now........... What you think of this dog? Nearly 7 now, trying to get him back to his best
  8. Collie/Whippet/Greyhound with a touch of deerhound in there somewhere.
  9. What do you lad's use to post photos? I am trying to use windows photo editor but the images are tiny when i re-size them....???
  10. Doing big ears north of the border needs up and at em mentality to catch within first10 turns or so as fields are small and loads of high fences. whippet/ gh first crosses imho are the best I have seen up here, will def be looking for one the next pup I get. They seem to do well in the shows aswell, providing they are off good lines.
  11. My collie/whippet/grew had a high prey drive until he ripped his leg open on a fence, now he stops at fences on the lamp really gutting hasn't took a h on the lamp since ( 12months ago) regularly took 2's an 3's..... Would probably prefer having one with high drive than brains as the chases last longer and it outweighs the possible vet bills disadvantage of the odd knocks and injuries.
  12. Have a good one. Hopefully loads of game out for a boxing day run!!!
